Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit, Jeff Jarvis of Buzz Machine, and Molly Wood of CNET appeared on CNN’s Reliable Sources this morning to discuss the effect of viral video websites like YouTube and Google Video. Moderator Howard Kurtz dubbed the use of such websites as citizen journalism, like blogs.

NASA says no to a shuttle landing at Kennedy Space Center and in New Mexico. Discovery will land at an Air Force Base in California around 8:12am Eastern.

UPDATE (7:11am) : Discovery is starting it’s de-orbiting process, and coming home!

In 1978 (the last time a Pope was choosen), the idea of personal computers was laughable. Now people can drop bugs that can not be traced. Will the MSM (or even blogs) know the next Pope before it is announced by the conclave made the official announcement?

VATICAN CITY – Computer hackers, electronic bugs and supersensitive microphones threaten to pierce the Vatican’s thick walls next week when cardinals gather in the Sistine Chapel to name a papal successor.

Spying has gotten a lot more sophisticated since John Paul was elected in 1978, but the Vatican seems confident it can protect the centuries-old tradition of secrecy that surrounds the gathering.
