AL J -The arrests come as fears were mounting that another wave of attacks was being planned.A British newspaper said another cell was planning follow-up attacks to the 7 July blasts that killed 56 people, including the four bombers, and the botched 21 July bombings.
Could we have another fortnight attack?

It seems like everyday you hear the London police captured another terrorist involved in the recent bombing attacks on their home soil. The police have been on top of this case and arrested the last of the terrorists in the 7/21 attacks. Two of the terrorists refused to come out, however the police stunned them. The bombers finally came out, apparently stripped down to their underwear incase they had any explosives on them. The other arrest came half-way across the continent in Italy. Not much is known about that arrest except that it was done successfully.
Not to play the devil’s advocate but the people arrested today are “suspected terrorists”, which means the police are not 100% sure but will know within hours. Can you imagine what the ACLU reaction would have been if this happened in the United States? You can bet that they would team up with Amnesty International and go on TV calling the US terrorists the way they obtained the suspect. (sound familiar?) Kudos to the London police.

Christopher Hitchens appeared on Heartland tonight to discuss the crazy mayor of London, Ken Livingstone. Chris really gives a bashing to the mayor, this is well worth the watch.

.. he’s [Livingstone] started receiving fundamentalist Muslim cleric support for the execution of homosexuals, women, the defamation of Jews, your know the usual routine. And now he’s decided that all this that has happened to our great city is all our fault, and of course it’s not. Let me just tell you quickly something that you may not know John, the last identified causality in the London underground – it took a long time to identify many of them because they’re so badly mangled [especially Kings Cross] – was a young Afghan student who had fled from political silence, – a young Muslim Afghan – both his parents had been killed by the Taliban. If you want to make it as clear as possibly can, how it’s we and many of our fellow Muslims in the same front against the same Muslim fascists, you couldn’t make it plainer than this.

[standing and clapping]President Bush: I’m confident like our country, the citizens of that country will not be
intimidated by thugs and assassins. They understand what we know. [clapping] They understand
what the citizens of this country understand, is that we will hold true to our principals of
human rights and human dignity and the freedom to worship. We’re not going to let anybody
frighten us from our great love of freedom.

A South Asian man was shot to death in a London tube after he ran away when the police approached him.
LONDON—Plainclothes police shot and killed a suspect in a close-quarters struggle aboard a subway train this morning, as hundreds of officers pressed the hunt for fugitives in four attempted attacks the day before, authorities and witnesses said.It was not confirmed whether the slain man, described as a young Asian wearing a heavy coat, was one of four suspects being sought after they tried to set off backpack bombs on three subway trains and a bus Thursday.
Police made public closed-circuit television images of the four suspected bombers today and asked the public to help identify and find them, a development suggesting that the dead suspect was not among the four.
It turns out that the backpacks used to hold the bombs in the 7/7 attacks were the SAME ONES used in today’s attacks on London. This means that the terrorists who attacked today may have been from the same group the ones who attacked on 7/7.
