Olbermann Watch writes:

Now this is the Krazy Keith we know and love. Kick off the opening spiel with a classic Olbyism:

24 Iraqi citizens, including unarmed women and children, shot deliberately by US Marines.

That’s our Keith. None of those silly legalities like “alleged” or “accused”. Just declare guilt and prepare to pass sentence. KO later slips in that it’s a “preliminary conclusion”, which legally doesn’t even rise to the level of an indictment, but such fine points don’t carry much weight on The Hour of Spin.

Keith already convicting soldiers before they even stand trial. This coming from the same Keith Olbermann who claims Bill O’Reilly called US troops murderers. Hypocrite.

On the 4pm hour of Monday’s The Situation Room, anchor Wolf Blitzer highlighted several political news stories, including Republican candidate for president, Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA)’s use of the term ‘tar baby’. To some, the term is a racial epithet, however the true meaning of the word is a ‘sticky situation’, hence the term ‘tar’.

CNN’s Jack Cafferty joined the program Blitzer was finished reading the headlines with his ‘Cafferty File’ segment. Cafferty, who is know for his unscripted remarks, opined on the ‘tar baby’ situation and applied Romney meant the comment in a racist sense. However, Cafferty did not make the audience aware of his racist past:

CAFFERTY: I don’t have an assessment.

It’s comforting to—to look at guys like Romney and the tar baby remark and—and know that we have such a—a high-quality stable of candidates waiting to take over the nation’s highest office. What the hell is he thinking? Tar baby? I mean, come on.

Cafferty has used several racial epithet’s of his own, even on CNN. The ADC notes Jack’s insensitivity towards those of Japanese descent:

It should be noted that Cafferty has a history of insensitive remarks towards many minority groups, not just Arabs and Muslims. In November of last year, he allegedly went as far as to crudely mock the Japanese language through a series of “ching” and “chong” noises.

Full transcript of the exchange:

WOLF BLITZER, HOST: A possible Republican presidential hopeful is apologizing for using racially charged words. Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts referred to the troubled Big Dig construction project in his home state as a tar baby, said it’s—said it at a fund-raiser with Iowa Republicans on Saturday. Romney now says he didn’t know anyone would be offended by the term, which some consider to be a racial epithet.

Keith Olbermann appeared on the Late Late Show Friday night. He didn’t mutter O’Reilly’s name once, but referred to the FOX News host as an “idiot”. Olbermann went on to claim that he was “neutral” because he did a number of reports on the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal in 1998. However, Olbermann did not note he quit the job because he was frustrated.

Newsbusters has video and audio.

Olbermann Watch writes a description and rebuttal incase you weren’t around to watch it.

Keith’s latest attack on O’Reilly:

In the Media Matters Minute, it was time to attack Fox again: Bill O’Reilly and Geraldo Rivera for joking about the Mafia hit intended to rub out Geraldo (“Couldn’t he have killed Jerry Springer?”). Jokes about shooting tv people are not funny, sermonized Olby.

Johnny Dollar at Olbermann Watch has a homework assignment:

Are Bill O’Reilly and Geraldo Rivera the only people on television who have made frivolous comments like the Springer quote above? Has KO himself done so? How about his pals at Air America? We’d like to know if comedian Keith Olbermann has lectured them as well.

Indeed they are not the only ones. In fact, Al Franken was on Olbermann’s show late last year and called for the execution of Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

Radio talk show host Michael Reagan and Democratic Strategist Laura Schwartz appeared on last night’s edition of Hannity & Colmes to discuss the DCCC advertisement that uses flag draped coffins to fundraiser.

Colmes, as usual compared this to something Republicans did, however not in the context. He brought up President Bush using the coffins of soldiers in one of his advertisements; however his ad wasn’t used to raise money and everyone knows he supports the troops.

Colmes goes on to say that this advertisement wasn’t “even on TV”, as if meant more if it were on TV. The fact is the DCCC used the pictures of the coffins to gain money, but it seems some people refuse to admit it, well at least until they get hounded by Sean Hannity. In response to Colmes’ statement about the advertisement, Schwartz said “it had nothing” to do, in fact she even used the word “unmistakable” to describe the fundraising mix up. However, when Hannity asked her if it was “appropriate” to use the picture in a campaign ad she answered with a proud “yes.” Absolutely disgusting; I don’t know what is worse the lies or the hypocrisy.

ALAN COLMES, CO-HOST: This DCCC —- on the internet, it’s not even on TV, is not a commercial, a fundraiser.

LAURA SCHWARTZ: Even the e-mail they sent out with it had nothing about fundraising. In fact, I challenge all of your viewers to go to www.DCCC.org and look at it. It’s unmistakable, this is to alert people about reality that we face in this world …

SEAN HANNITY, CO-HOST: Hey Laura, why don’t you just admit that what the DCCC did here was disgusting, despicable, and wrong?

SCHWARTZ: I’ll tell you what is disgusting and wrong—-

HANNITY: No, no, no, no, I’m asking you to—I want to put up on our screen and I want you to take a good close look [pointing]. You look at these coffins of our brave men and women, right there, and you—Excuse me—you think that is appropriate for your party, you worked for Bill Clinton for eight years, is that appropriate in your world? To use those for campaign, yes or no?

SCHWARTZ: Yes.

Remember in October when Wilson’s attorney said he and his wife are “private” people who “didn’t choose to be in the public spotlight?” Well it sure looks like they’re choosing to be in the spotlight now.

Or how about that 60 Minutes interview with Joe Wilson where CIA “expert” Jim Marcinkowski said agents “don’t like cameras”, “publicity”, and “operate in the background as much as possible”.

ED BRADLEY: Have you been in contact with her [Valerie Plame] recently?

JIM MARCINKOWSKI: Yes.

BRADLEY: What has this done to her? How is she handling it?

MARCINKOWSKI: CIA people don’t like cameras, don’t like publicity, they operate in the background as much as possible. She’s in a very, very uncomfortable spot.

Well it seems cameras and publicity are a few of Valerie Wilsons’ favorite things.

Oh, by the way, Marcinkowski is running for Congress.

Radio talk show host Laura Ingraham appeared opposite of Democratic strategist Bob Beckel to discuss the Biden remark on Friday’s edition of Hannity & Colmes. Incase you forgot, last week Senator Biden remarked “you cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.” Liberal co-host Alan Colmes was first up to debate Ingraham and get a response from Beckel. Colmes, who hates it when his counterpart and conservative guests refer to President Clinton, brought up quotes from many moons ago and attempted to make it relevant. Ingraham, who would have none of it, told Colmes that we shouldn’t care about some silly comments made by Biden, instead we should worry about Islamofascists that want to kill us. Go Laura! Kudos to Beckel, who laughed at the situation and an apologetic response from Biden’s office.

However, Beckel, as usual, doesn’t leave on a positive note. At the end of the segment he tried to paint liberals as those have “more room” to “maneuver” with minorities. Laura Ingraham challenged his ignorant remark, this is how it went down:

INGRAHAM: Bob, can I ask you a question?

BECKEL: Sure.

INGRAHAM: Wait, the liberals have more room to move because what, they advocated failed welfare policies for 25 years?

BECKEL: No, [mumbles]. No, the answer is, I’m trying to be honest here.

Beckel tries to laugh it off, but it is quite obvious that he is embarrassed.

There is only one thing I can say about this segment; Keith Olbermann is official the “world’s weirdest person.”

Olbermann Watch writes:

he #3 slot started out with John Murtha, who got a retraction for an incorrectly reported statement. Note that Olbermann never bothered to report the embarrassing statement itself, only the retraction. As opposed to all the times KO falsely attributes quotes to, say, Bill O’Reilly, and never corrects his own mistakes. But we digress. Oh wait, no we don’t, because Mr Bill and attack #98 is next on the propaganda program.

You’ll note that our mole in Seacaucus told us yesterday that there would be another attack tonight, and, like Pavlov’s dog in a bell-testing factory, Krazy Keith delivered. To kick it off, KO ridiculed Mr Bill’s statement that “Rick Kaplan has left MSNBC”:

See, by overemphasizing the word “left”, he is sending a subtle signal to the dim bulbs in his audience that former MSNBC President Rick Kaplan might have had personal political beliefs that tended towards liberal or left.

No, we’re not making that up. He really believes it! Then Olby was back bragging about ratings: he’s up, O’Reilly’s down. Once again, KO manipulated the data, never pointing out that O’Reilly’s viewership is anywhere from five to nine times his, depending on the day of the week. Then he went on a rant about how bad the Fox ratings are, omitting the fact that the lowest rated program on Fox has way more viewers than the highest rated show on MSNBC. Hey, we thought ratings were irrelevant, Krazy. You know, the five billions flies and all? Then Olby delivered his coup de grace to Mr Bill:

You can’t even lie well.

You may have a point there, Krazy. You were going to expose “the lies” of Bill O’Reilly in this segment, and all you did is spin numbers. You did not identify one thing O’Reilly said that was incorrect. We concede: you are a much better liar than he is.

Olbermann spent literally three minutes talking to the screen, one of the eight objects that watch his show. He bashed O’Reilly, made a penis joke, called the FOX News host viewers dumb, and many other sick jokes.

On Monday night’s edition of Hannity & Colmes, Ann Coulter appeared opposite of New Jersey assemblyman Michael Panter, who is trying to get Ann’s book taken off the shelves. Panter is one of those thugs who think free speech only applies to the anti-Bush left. Panter is against Ann writing about 9/11 widows who have come out blaming Bush—and promoting John Kerry—for the terrorist attack. Ann says that many widows have thanked her for distinguishing the four anti-Bush widows from the rest. However, when Sean asked Panter if Cindy Sheehan calling President Bush a ‘bastard’ and Hitler, he woudn’t admit it was over the line. Yet another liberal brown shirt hypocrite.

Markos “Kos” Moulitsas, founder of the blog Daily Kos, appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press opposite of NRO’s Byron York to discuss the Yearly Kos Convention. Kos thinks this will convention will bring more discourse to national politics and will effect the ‘06 and ‘08 elections. Other than the fact he has been saying this for years about his own blog and he is 0-20 with supporting candidates, I don’t think anyone has heard a peep about the Yearly Kos convention.

Here’s a zinger for Kos:

DLC

... the author finishes that he doesn’t remember Howard Dean being President.

Kos says that DC has lost touch with reality, yet he invited Harry Reid, Howard Dean, Dianne Feinstein, and Nancy Pelosi to speak at his event! Looks to me like it is Kos who has lost touch with reality.

Hot Air has someone infiltrating the Yearly Kos convention and is writing about what he sees and what is said. Here’s the latest update by the under-cover agent, with links to his previous posts.

PREVIOUS: You may remember Kos as the person who said “Screw them” about the contractors who were kidnapped, savagely torn apart, and hung from a bridge in Iraq on April 1, 2004. Little Green Footballs was on top of this story when it occurred.
