Reason Magazine blog “Hit and Run” is blaming Michelle Malkin for the suicide of former University of California-Santa Cruz Chancellor Denice Denton.
As expected, liberal bloggers are using this to continue slime and slander Malkin.
Read about the incident at her blog.

Markos “0-20” Moulitsas appeared on Countdown tonight to discuss the Yearly Kos convention, and Democrats. Kos said that if Democrats lost this year’s election, it would be blamed on the blogosphere. Gee, who wouldn’t, I mean his 0-20 track record is quite the admirable one.

Earlier this week I attended a conservative bloggers get together. I have been extremely busy and haven’t had time to write about it until now. Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) was our guest of honor and also Human Event’s Man of the Year (2005). Pence is a real conservative Republican who is tired of “out of control spending”, angry with Republicans who have a lack of “fiscal discipline”, and those who do not know the “rule of law” in the “field of immigration reform”.
On the subject of the 2006 elections, Pence is confident that Republicans will maintain their majority in the House and Senate. Tim Chapman of The Heritage Foundation and Townhall asked Pence if it would be good if Republicans lost in ‘06, to teach them a lesson. Pence disagreed and thought it wouldn’t happen because the world has seen our “efforts in Iraq” with a “stable and flourishing democracy”.

Lorie Byrd, one of my favorite bloggers, has left her gig guest blogging at Polipundit. I am sad to see this happen, but the blog’s published, Polipundit, thought it was time for everyone who blogged there to go because of a difference in opinion.
Lorie will still write at her blog Byrd Droppings until she finds a new home.

Michelle Malkin and Democratic Strategist Kirsten Powers appeared on The O’Reilly Factor tonight to discuss a bill in California that basically says if you are gay you can’t be discriminated against even if the situation doesn’t warrant your sexual orientation. Malkin explains how dangerous the bill is because people will feel intimidated in hiring gays based solely on their sexuality. She explains the contradiction that gays say they want privacy, however want publicity at the same time.

Keith Olbermann apologist blog “TV Newser” wrote this about O’Reilly’s “they [MSNBC] only have 10 viewers” remark.
Last night on the Factor, Bill O’Reilly said the media “is so hell-bent on supporting the amnesty movement,” and Laura Ingraham offered this theory on why: The new citizens will “[redound] to the Democrats’ benefit. If they [redound] to the democrats’ benefit, it then [redounds] to the benefit of NBC, ABC, AND CBS, thrown in CNN and MSNBC. So they think these are new viewers, new listeners, new customers to the more liberal viewpoint.”Then Ingraham cited an unscientific poll on MSNBC. “The question was, ‘Should people at these rallies be arrested?’ Which is a ridiculous question. And they thought the numbers would go in their favor on that. Well even on the MSNBC poll, as of this afternoon, it was like 62 percent of Americans thought that illegals at the rally should be arrested which is pretty draconian.”
“That’s a little misleading. They only have 10 viewers,” O’Reilly retorted…
Gee, Bill says one thing about MSNBC and TV Newser is outraged enough to write a post about it. I would be okay with it, if he did the same thing every time Olbermann bashes O’Reilly or FOX News, which happens almost every night.
It’s almost like chief smear merchant Keith Olbermann is sending out minions to do his dirty work.

BOSTON.COM – A coastal Maine blogger who criticized the state’s tourism office has been hit with a lawsuit seeking potentially more than $1 million in damages for allegedly making false statements and posting on his website, Maine Web Report, images from proposed tourism advertisements a New York agency prepared for Maine officials. The case raises the issue of how free speech protection will be applied in the proliferating world of weblogs, or blogs, and underscores the growing influence of bloggers on business and government.
‘’It’s a reflection of the extent to which businesses are taking critiques from the blogosphere very seriously,” said John G. Palfrey, executive director of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School. ‘’Bloggers have gained enormous power.”
