Mark Glaser who moderated the “Protecting Bloggers” section, wrote a piece on what he liked and disliked about BlogNashvillle.
Read it here.
Here’s my comment to the post:
It was a place for listening and enjoying your self – however you couldn’t catch me without my laptop. I put it down when the discussion was getting big, but I liked blogging about it. My pet peeve was the cameras in the Dave Winer session. You felt like you couldn’t move or else you’d be in the way.
Tony Maciulis once again gives us a peek in the blogosphere. BlogNashville was apparently a big hit to MSNBC.
America Blog – contests that the Republicans filibustered Bill Clinton’s
Confirm Them – Chuck Hagel is not making a persuavive argument
SCS – Singapore Blogger: is being silenced by his gov’t.
InstaPundit – BlogNashville roundup – BTW: Glenn has some great
video interviews with many bloggers there .. including yours truely.
The American Mind – Sean (who I met at BlogNashville) blogs about the ‘most heated issue’ at BlogNashville … most likely referring to Dan Winer.
Moores Lore – Politics Aside, Dana Blankenhorn said he likes Instapundit after meeting him at BlogNashville

I am pictured with Robin Burk of Random Probabilities and Winds of Change. Robin hosted the ‘Military Blogging’ session early in the day on Saturday. Robin was on my list of people who I want to meet and I am glad I finally got the chance after missing her at CPAC.
I saw Ed Cone a few times throughout the day – but he was busy talking to someone everytime. So finally I went up and introduced myself and we chatted briefly. Even though I disagree with Ed ideologically he asked some great questions at Faith Based Blogging.
I have a picture with Trey Jackson and some others that is on my laptop (will post briefly)
Here I am with Trey Jackson (or the Bob Dole of the blogosphere) of Jackson’s Junction. I immediatly hit it off with Trey when I met him at dinner Thursday night – he is one cool guy.
I also met:
Mark Tapscott (one of the nicest folks there – he gave me numerous lifts)
La Shawn Barber
Matt Sheffield
Jason Clarke
Tom Biro
Glenn Reynolds
Barbara Iverson
Shelly Henderson
Dave Greene
Mark Glaser
Dan Gillmor
B.L. Ochman
J.D. Lasica
Candance Corrigan
Linda Seebach
Eric Scheie
Hossein Derakshan
Sean Hackbarth
Henry Copeland
I wanted to meet Bill Hobbs and Oliver Willis – however Bill was always busy and Oliver didn’t show up.
It feels good to be back home and to get my hand on a mouse. The flight was extremely bumpy. Blogging and pics later.
When I heard that the discussion led by Dave Winer (A Reasonable Disagreement) was getting a bit argumentative, I rushed over with my camera. This clip is of Dave Winer and Stan going at it over a comment Dave made.
Oh yeah by the way – Dave is the guy who developed RSS feeds, and the way I understand it he either made or contributed to user (one of the first, if not the first blogger software). Sorry for the technical remarks, I am just not sure and going by what I heard.
Scared Monkeys did a great live blogging the whole session.
UPDATE: Video is now working fine!

Well this is the last night of Blog Nashville and I am going out to dinner with the Henry Copeland (BlogAds) group. It should be fun – since I am interested in finding out how Henry feels about the new and upcoming Pajama Media. Hopefully later tonight I wil be able to cut down a video I took of a certain speaker going off on someone.
Check out these blogs that have really good round ups. If you have a round up, feel free to trackback.

UPDATE: I actually attended the Dan Gillmor dinner last night – it was fun. I sat next to an ABC executive (a sponsor of the event) and across from a liberal blogger. The liberal blogger ( I forgot his name, but I gave him my e.mail ) went to a seminary and is interested in law and such. We had a great discussion about Terri Schiavo among politics.
La Shawn Barber hosted the ‘Faith Based Bloggers’ session. I always enjoy talking about religion/faith – not your faith, but how you use it to guide you in life or make decisions. It was an interesting talk, especially when the debate of “why do religious people tend to be conservative”.
The funniest line was “Jesus used a donkey to ride around, not an elephant” .. then the blogger from FishKite responded “Yeah but Moses talked to God through a Bush”. heh.
Blog Nashville has made national news!
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bloggers — those Internet-based writers without rules — are fighting back against criticism that their work is unreliable, libelous or just poorly done. More than 300 bloggers came to town Friday for a two-day conference that was heavy on teaching techniques used by journalists in what bloggers term “the mainstream media.” One class taught students how to access and analyze government statistics.
Blogger Bill Hobbs (a Nashville resident) was mentioned
Conference organizer Bill Hobbs called blogging “citizen journalism.”
