McKinney is suing the AJC for reporting the truth:

NEW YORK A Democratic congresswoman from Georgia is suing The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for libel.

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney filed charges against the newspaper’s editor Cynthia Tucker and publisher John Mellott for an editorial column that ran in the Sunday July 30 paper about McKinney’s alleged altercation with police, according to All Headline News.

McKinney’s attorney, J.M. Raffauf, said the column describes McKinney whacking a police officer with her cell phone, a charge McKinney denies.

The suit says that other facts were misstated including a reported suggestion by McKinney that President Bush had known about the September 11 terror attacks in advance, and had allowed the plot to unfold so that he and his friends could profit from the resulting wars.

Sounds like she suggested it to me:

“We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11. What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? … What do they have to hide?” asked Democratic Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia, according to The Washington Post.

So Cynthia, you hit a cop for doing his job, play the race card in front of any camera that can fit your hair in the shot, deny playing the race card, say some of the stupidest things anyone has ever heard, one of your people assaults a reporter, you claim to have apologized when really all you did was express regret at the incident, somehow get the Kennedy treatment and get off, and now YOU are going to sue someone for reporting on it!? WOW!

Well she needs to play the victim card quickly because its looks like she’s about to be handed her ass in the run-off primary..So maybe she hopes this will get her some votes.

What do we expect? Georgie had his daddy get him into college.

I also want to comment Mckinney for standing up with the thousands of black (wrongly)disenfranchised voters in the 2000 elections. Jeb Bush used a nice company called Choice Point out of Atlanta to help with that. Say… isnt that the same company that is causing all the stir in the mexico elections?

Here is a little fact for you ding dong, Out of those one million “Disenfranchised votes” that they scream about how come not ONE has even come forward to state their case? Out of one million there had to be at least one person. But I know a group that was Disenfranchiesd against during the 2000 election in florida and that was U.S. military members who voted using absentee ballots… We don’t get any press on that… Oh wait maybe because it was the DEMOCRATS who threw their votes out! Something for you to think about while you are finding at least one of those black voters!

Capitol Hill Police Officers Speak Out!

By now, you’ve probably heard about the March 29th run in between Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and a Capitol Hill police officer. But you probably have not yet heard this side of the story. In true GNN fashion, we go beyond the superficial coverage of the mainstream press to uncover a different perspective on the story. GNN’s Ian Inaba, director of the new documentary American Blackout talked to four police officers about allegations of racism on Capitol Hill and the now infamous incident

Congresswoman McKinney’s libel suit will get dismissed, but perhaps not before what comes out during the course of the lawsuit further embarrasses her. In libel cases, when plaintiffs sue because the truth was reported, the suit comes back to bite those plaintiffs.

Rob’s posts here thus far are aimed at changing the subject, which is that Congresswoman McKinney has brought a meritles libel suit.

Did anyone get a chance to see her debate her Democratic primary opponent on cspan the other night? It was an embarassment. She had absolutely nothing to say of substance and she kept turning to her opponent and raising her voice and just kept accusing him of using “talking points.” She just kept repeating herself and was offering nothing to those who will be voting in the runoff. Her opponent would answer looking directly at the camera, something she had a hard time doing.

One interesting fact I learned. Her opponent gets approx 95% of his money from Georgia, McKinney gets approx 75% of hers from outside of Georgia, including huge chunks from Ca. and Nevada. I’m sure that sits well with her constituents. Say buh bye Cynthia.

Actually Rob, I have done my homework, and it seems yours as well. There actually was one person that did come forward to claim that they were disenfranchised. How? Well she said that when she went to vote there was a police car parked in front of her polling place. Well, there you go the smoking gun. BUT, before you throw that tin foil hat in the air in victory let me fill you in on the rest of the story… What was that police car doing there? Well he was not there to keep Black voters from voting but to vote himself, and was gone in five minuets. As for going to the senate, that is meaningless, what happened to their argument? Nothing, it went no where because nothing happened. Nothing but DNC talking points, which you are very good at!
