The really good news is that I asked Laura to marry me, and she accepted! Youre all invited to the wedding, it will be held at Bill McGubbins house (he is covering all the expenses).

At a press conference yesterday President Bush said, “Obviously the violence in Baghdad is still terrible.”

Why is President Bush emboldening the enemy? Why is President Bush aiding and abetting the insurgency?

President Bush was my hero. But he’s become all soft and mushy. And I am beginning to lose faith in the war.

Isn’t anybody else a bit bothered by William Buckley’s remarks about President Bush? It almost sounds like he wants to impeach. Isn’t it time the IRS took a closer look at Mr. Buckley’s tax records? I’ll bet he’s in bed with Bin Laden, too.

Perhaps if the “Father of the Conservatism” is telling people that Bush is NOT a conservative is a pretty good indication that Bush is not at all the right-wing extremist that Liberals often claim he is.

It proves that not all libs are left-wing extremists that Conservatives often claim them to be. The hard-left Stalinists believe America should intervene in every aspect of your personal life, expand power and dominance, and intervene and social engineer in the affairs of others. Stalinists want YOU to pay for THEIR social engineering experiments and absolute power. Needless to say, President Bush is only too happy to oblige these Stalinists. That is why William Buckley and sensible Americans everywhere are in opposition to President Bush: Because they oppose Stalinism.

Bush has never been a conservative, he is a federalist. Learn the difference…..

He only dopes you conservatives because most of you don’t know the difference. He’s against state’s right, he runs up a deficit, he favors a strong federal government, he works to weaken congress and the courts, he doesn’t care about individual rights and liberties. That is not a conservative. That is a federalist.

First off Liberals should think of changing their identity to Appeasers since they are no longer really Liberals. They are actually Appeasers since that is the main policy of their party.

If you want to react with actions that result in well….RESULTS, then you must be a conservative. If you want to spew rhetoric and try to talk terrorists bullets back into their gun barrels then you are a “liberal”.

    1. I agree with Anaconda that Bush, in many ways is no social or fiscal conservative, although his low taxes policies are conservative. I believe he is a conservative in leading the war against IslamoFascist terrorism and his support of Israel. I must add that despite Bush’ many faults and my frequent anger at many of his policies, better him than Kerry, Hillary or almost any Democrat.

    2. While I hate his name, ‘the damned,’ is quite correct about “The hard-left Stalinists believe America should intervene in every aspect of your personal life, expand power and dominance, and intervene and social engineer in the affairs of others. I think it depends on what you mean by “cheap”. I don’t think any anti-war folk thought that the Bush cabal wanted to invade Iraq in order to lower the price of oil for the regular consumer.

Instead, the argument is that there were many supporters of the warin the Bush circle who saw Iraq’s oil wealth as a means for them to make profit be drilling it, refining it, and selling it. I highly doubt such supporters would give a darn about whether you or I pay less for oil.

So, just because Bush doesn’t care about collateral, and he doesn’t care how many American dollars and Americans lives have to expire before this neverending War ends, that makes him the best person for the War on Terror?

    No.

bush invented this so-called “War on Terror.” terrorism is a tactic of the enemy, not the enemy itself. and terrorism, as we understand it (9/11 for example) is the tactic of the weak and powerless, targeting civilians. there’s also “state terrorism” in which states use fear and violence to submit civilian populations to their will. so a War on a Tactic, side-steps the REASONS our enemies are attacking us, conveniently making violence the only solution (which is what bush ultimately wants).

“So, just because Bush doesn’t care about collateral, and he doesn’t care how many American dollars and Americans lives have to expire before this neverending [sic] War ends, that makes him the best person for the War on Terror?

    No.”

This is why I wouldn’t vote for a Liberal Democrat running for President anytime soon, outside of Joe Lieberman. Bush knows we have to fight and win this war whether we like it or not.

Liberal Democrats don’t seem to understand this concept for the exception of Lieberman and the FAR Left wants him tossed out on his ear.

Terrorists are NOT going to stop trying to kill us even if we left the Middle East tomorrow. They want to kill AMERICANS, not Republicans or Democrats, and they won’t stop until we are all dead or they are destroyed.

If the Democrats continue to with this kind of attitude for the foreseeable future (and I have no reason to think they won’t), they will lose in 2008 as well.

You mean there is no “War on Terror”?

    That’s wonderful!

Now, every one of our troops can come home tomorrow because we have nothing more to worry about.

I’m sure the Islamofascists who would love nothing more than to kill 300 million Americans would leave us alone if we just packed up and left the Middle East.

“. . .so a War on a Tactic, side-steps the REASONS our enemies are attacking us, conveniently making violence the only solution (which is what bush ultimately wants).”

What are the REASONS why our enemies attacked us?

They attacked us long before 9/11 and long before Bush occupied the White House.

They were at war against us for years, although we didn’t engage. Bin Laden himself declared a ‘fatwa’ against the United States in 1998, again, long before Bush stepped one foot in the White House.

So violence is what Bush “ultimately wants”?

I thought TIME Magazine“Bush Doctrine” and his “Cowboy Diplomacy” was finished.

    Which one is it?

Has Bush now become a little pussycat like TIME Magazine seemed to imply a few weeks ago, or does he just want to carpet bomb or nuke the entire planet like you seem to suggest?

Bush is also a globalist. That’s why he’s soft on border security. We were given a choice last election and once again had to vote for the lesser of two evils. I say Bush has many faults but Kerry only two (everything he says and everything he does). Conservatives should join the Constitution Party and get everything they want or push to fully dominate the Republican Party. I would rather have a bigger piece of the pie by bringing in a rational third party!
