“Rush Limbaugh’s ignorance and willingness to divide Americans knows no bounds. His latest statement about Israel is beyond offensive to all of us who have fought to protect Israel in the face of enemies committed to its destruction.Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a donut. It was a Democratic president who first recognized the State of Israel. It was a Democratic President who first sold Israel defensive weapons. And it was a Democratic President who first sold Israel offensive weapons.
The people of Israel and the Jewish community don’t need Rush Limbaugh to tell them who stands with them, and no one has time for right wing trying to score cheap political points while Israel fights to defend its very existence.”
Gee, making fun of Rush’s weight, that’s not ignorant of Kerry.

Please. That’s the least Kerry could of done. At least it wasn’t the drug thing, you know.
And you’re forgetting the entire point of what Kerry was saying. The message wasn’t about how fat Rush is, it’s about Israel.
Stick to what’s important!

I agree. I must admit, for a drug addict Rush does look pretty good. Not skinny or anything like that.

John Kerry, say What!?...”It was a Democratic president who first recognized the State of Israel. It was a Democratic President who first sold Israel defensive weapons. And it was a Democratic President who first sold Israel offensive weapons”
You mean the liberal democratic party hasn’t always had a nutty leftist wing agenda of supporting the insane neoislamo fascists over the peaceful, productive and prosperous Israelis?
Sounds like war hawk dems sold all those horrible American weapons of death to those evil imperialistic wanna take over the world Jews so they could attack and blow up those nice Hezbollah fellows.

Name sounds familiar….John Kerry….isn’t this the guy who was a war hero in Vietnam and spent one Christmas in Cambodia? Got knocked down by a $& Secret Service agent on a mountain?....no….OH I know! It’s Mr. Teresa Heinz!
Why are you quoting him again?

Actually, about ten years ago, Rush Limbaugh lost a lot of weight. Sensibly, though. So, apart from making ad hominem attacks, John Kerry needs to get with the times.

“Rush Limbaugh’s ignorance and willingness to divide Americans knows no bounds.”
A stunningly ignorant statement coming from Kerry. It couldn’t be further from the truth. How ironic that you simply replace ‘Rush Limbaugh’ with ‘John Kerry’ and the statement becomes true.
It is pleasing to note that Rush deserves much of the credit for Kerry being an irrelevant liberal senator instead of the president of the United States.

[...] Does this remind anyone of a certain Saturday Night Live skit? Believe it or not, Kerry is actually condemning people for “trying to score cheap political points“. Yes, John Kerry never grandstands for political points, does he? [...]

John Kerry is nothing more than a propigandizing elitist buffon.Their is no better friend to Israel than conservatives Republicans. The enemy of Israel are liberal Democrats who side with the butchers and savages.
Kerry must live in an alternative reality. Liberals constantly call for Israel to give up land, to negotiate with these barbarians. That their response is too much. Bullshit! These people have stated their wanton destruction of the Jews. What dont you liberals understand about destruction.
Kerry makes me ill to even hear his name, what does it say when his picture is hanging in the Vietnam war museum celebrating their victory. He is a gutless traitor who carried around a video recorder to use later as a political tool to try to get elected president.
Rush is a great American who was a lone voice of reason sounding the alarms of the liberal media and telling us how dangerous liberalism is. He is an intellectual giant that John Kerry could only dream of matching him intellectually. Liberalism to quote someone is not a political philosophy but rather a mental disorder.
12:59 am [ Quote ]
Well Kerry doesn’t address the split in the Democratic Party. There is a substantial portion of Dems that say War is never the answer and many Looney Liberals that see Israel as the bad guy in this present chapter of war.
If I had a nickel for every fluff piece about Hezbollah on CNN or a nickel for every time I’ve heard a Democrat say disproportionate response I’d be living in John Kerry’s gated community.

Amazing that he makes a fat joke, and still thinks he’s presidential material… Incredible classlessness.
It just brings me back to Mehlman-Dean: classy and charming—vitriolic and angry. The Democrats are utterly lost.

No! I can’t believe it! Kerry had the audacity to make fun of Rush? Our Rush? Our beloved Rushy Rushy? That exemplary model of ethical behaviour for the new millenium?
I won’t stand for it. I won’t! I’m angry, fellow conservatives. I’m furious! I will not have terrible things said about our beloved Rushy Rushy. I don’t care if they’re true.
Why must these homosexual Islamofascist Nazi Communist liberals be so cruel? Are they next going to taunt Rushy just because he avoided service in Vietnam due to cysts in his ass? Are they so devoid of compassion?
Fellow conservatives, let us unite! Oh, Rushy! We, will defend your honor!

I thought Rush lost some weight but perhaps he’s gained it back-that is sometimes a problem as I have been gaining and losing the same 30 pounds since I was 16! However, I cannot stand Rush Limbaugh. He makes me want to be ill. I don’t understand why he is so popular, I really don’t. He never served, he’s obnoxious and pompous, makes fun of homosexuals, drug addicts (well not anymore I guess) and I cannot stress this enough his arrogance knows no bounds! Of course I can’t stand Kerry either but it’s a toss up for me as to who is worse!

Sniff, Sniff, what’s that smell? It smells like the democrats are looking at the polls and seeing that most Americans support Israel over the Hezbo-Syria-Iran extremists and their trumped up “justifications” for causing the trouble. After the Arabs like Egypt and Saudi Arabia showed their distaste for Hezbollah, even Christina Anampour from CNN is talking about those “poor victims” in Israel. So, to the casual observer this is a typical case of liberals fisrt saying how disproportionate Israel was, then who’s Israel “first” friend. Hopefully that doesn’t make Kerry think its the democrats right to “sell” Israel down the river. Let’s all not forget the real reason this was all started. It wasn’t this trumped up crap that Hezbollah started whining about after Israel showed it wasn’t a pansy. Incidentally, we heard nothing of Hezbollah’s complaints before the abductions and murders, only after Israel showed its might. THE REASON THIS ALL OCCURED WAS TO DISTRACT FROM THE G8 CONFERENCE, WHICH WOULD’VE HIGHLIGHTED IRAN! ! ! !

Um, the Democratic Party has no history of supporting “insane neoislamo fascists.” This website is funny. You seem to post only well-crafted arguments from the left. The least you could do the “Expose the Left” is to find something UNreasonable about the left from time-to-time instead of posting water-tight “leftist” arguments. You don’t seem to understand that the “left” is actually mainstream. It’s not left at all, it’s actually moderate.

In fact, I am sure, that before Rush’s first hour is finished tomorrow he will have John Kerry torn apart into very little pieces! Remember, the Liberals only attack the ones they fear.

Nonfactor (re posts 24 and 26): It may well have been that once upon a time that Democrats were good friends of Israel. President Harry Truman stood up for the recognition of the State of Israel. Once upon a time, Democrats were internationalists and were not beholden to a left wing that has in more recent decades taken the party to an isolationist, anti-military line and that today is anti-Israel. It is not spin to say that today conservative Republicans are better friends to Israel than Democrats; it is a recognition of changed political alignments.

I despise Moore more than any other living human being, but because of his dangerous beliefs, not his waistline. That is why I can’t listen to Laura Ingraham’s radio show because she seems to think that if you are overweight you are subhuman (she even made fun of Bill Bennnett in this regard).Conversely, those lefties who make fun of Rush’s drug problems see nothing wrong in lighting up a joint or two.
Stick to the issues and forget the third-grade taunting.

With Kerry, the words come easily and flow well, but contain no ideas. With Bush, the words are hesitant and come in short spurts, but at least there are ideas. No snippy comments about intellitenge all you libs – you know that Bush’s grades at Yale were better than Kerry’s…and he even took some subjects that had intellectual content (e.g., something other than art and political “science”). So once again, Kerry proves that he is indeed as ugly on the inside as he is on the outside.

But we’re dragging our feet. Nobody believes the lies any more. Iraq is ready to collapse. The President’s Mid-East policy is in tatters. It’s time to bring the boys back home. They did their best. The only reason people on the left make fun off Rushes drug problem is because the hypocrisy of his problems after his earlier stance on drugs. If had taken a stance before that he was for decriminalization of drugs, then he wouldn’t really be bothered that much on that issue.
As for discrimination based off of weight, I’ve read about Bush harrassing his advisors over weight problems (I have to find that article again though).
At any rate, I might be more sympathetic about the slight if it wasn’t something Rush himself wouldn’t do if he could get away with it.
Again, it comes down to the issue of hypocrisy. conservative personalities throw ad hominem attacks out every day, and yet they whine when someone throws a mild jab at them.

Tiger, so I guess you don’t believe in rehabilitation so in your mind all ex addicts should be branded as such and, what, put in jail?
That’s how the law works and that’s the law the Rush supports (or did, he might have changed his mind at this point). That’s the hypocrisy I’m talking about. The Oxycotin that he was addicted is just as much of a problem as alot of drugs that people would be thrown in jail for 10 years for. Furthermore, alot of people get addicted to drugs from an attempt to self medicate their own bipolar illness and other mental problems. It’s as if there were no legal perscription for Rushes back pain so he had to buy stuff illegally on the streets.
I’m a strong proponent for rehabilitation for most drug offenses(as well as legalization of marijuana, as it’s less dangerous then alcohol, which is legal).
Filling our jail cells with drug convicts is not working. We have more people per person in jail then any other country in the world because of this, and it’s helping no one aside from the people building new jails.
1:05 pm [ Quote ]
I think that jail time for drug addiction is inappropriate. I think that people who sell drugs and who grow it or bring it into the country should get life in prison or at least a sentence that will have an effect on the trade. But I think users who have become addicts should get rahabilitation. Those who refuse should then be dealt with legally. In that case prison is necessary to protect scociey because many of these drug addicts become criminals to support their habits. I do not think drugs should be legalized, however. Alcohol has caused enough problems, we don’t need to add legal drugs to the mix.
I still say there is a big difference between becoming addicted to pain killers used to treat chronic pain and becoming addicted to recreational drugs.
