Reason Magazine blog “Hit and Run” is blaming Michelle Malkin for the suicide of former University of California-Santa Cruz Chancellor Denice Denton.
As expected, liberal bloggers are using this to continue slime and slander Malkin.

Perhaps Mr…err…Ms. Denton iced herself because her ‘partner’(ahem) wasnt allowed to keep the 192k/year university job that Denton arranged for her.

Funny… the blog seems to clearly be saying the opposite of what Ian claims.

On a slightly different slant, note the types of folks that the libs refer to as “academics”. This reminds me of the days when GM’s only differentiation between a Chevy and Cadillac was the cheap plastic badge they put on the front. Chevy or Cad, either was cheap junk. Chancellor of CU or UC, both are politically correct weak minds incapaple of doing much else save for being a front. (Exceptions are accepted, but there are not many.)

I agree Dallas! If I write:
“No one is suggesting liberals are a bunch of loud-mouthed point-and-blamers with no sense of honor, but in the case of this grotesque woman’s suicide, Michelle is blameless and the liberals should apologize.”
In the above sentence, I am not saying one bad thing about liberals. Using this standard issue New York Times sentence structure, one merely sets the stage for the real factual meat of the sentence by casually stating what the “many” think. E.g. “many think Global Warming is an absolute fact and completely due to man, but scientists are far from unified on the subject.” Or, “many consider the war in Iraq a deadly blunder—a quagmire that has made us less safe—but senior military officials claim we are making progress and elections have taken place.”
If Michelle were responsible for driving a loony lefty over the edge, more power to her. If only she could do this nationally, we might be able to keep the money we earn, maintain a unified front against terrorists, and be able to watch TV without being subjected to the vast left-wing Hollywood thought machine!

In reading the stories about her friends “consulting job”, the $600,000 home renovation, the $30,000 dog run, this is comparable to some of our federal governments expenditures that we’ve laughed about over the years.
Cronyism? Come on, get serious. Business is all about hiring those you’ve worked with in the past that you favor. Let’s not be naive; it’s done by anyone and everyone in high powerful positions as a right to hire.
Michele Malkin had no more to do with Dentons suicide than I did. Blaming Malking is typical liberal hysteria. The simplest explanation is probably the more reasonable one. Denton was probably having some other self-inflicted pressures that we’ll never know about that pushed her over the edge. We all make our own beds to sleep in.

She gave the cushy high paying job to her girlfriend, and I guess she wasn’t qualified. My guess is the flax recieved from hiring her partner drove her over the edge.

One of my closest family members killed herself and I know first hand that it was nobody’s fault but HERS.
Suicide is a SELFISH thing.
