There is only one thing I can say about this segment; Keith Olbermann is official the “world’s weirdest person.”
he #3 slot started out with John Murtha, who got a retraction for an incorrectly reported statement. Note that Olbermann never bothered to report the embarrassing statement itself, only the retraction. As opposed to all the times KO falsely attributes quotes to, say, Bill O’Reilly, and never corrects his own mistakes. But we digress. Oh wait, no we don’t, because Mr Bill and attack #98 is next on the propaganda program.You’ll note that our mole in Seacaucus told us yesterday that there would be another attack tonight, and, like Pavlov’s dog in a bell-testing factory, Krazy Keith delivered. To kick it off, KO ridiculed Mr Bill’s statement that “Rick Kaplan has left MSNBC”:
See, by overemphasizing the word “left”, he is sending a subtle signal to the dim bulbs in his audience that former MSNBC President Rick Kaplan might have had personal political beliefs that tended towards liberal or left.No, we’re not making that up. He really believes it! Then Olby was back bragging about ratings: he’s up, O’Reilly’s down. Once again, KO manipulated the data, never pointing out that O’Reilly’s viewership is anywhere from five to nine times his, depending on the day of the week. Then he went on a rant about how bad the Fox ratings are, omitting the fact that the lowest rated program on Fox has way more viewers than the highest rated show on MSNBC. Hey, we thought ratings were irrelevant, Krazy. You know, the five billions flies and all? Then Olby delivered his coup de grace to Mr Bill:
You can’t even lie well.You may have a point there, Krazy. You were going to expose “the lies” of Bill O’Reilly in this segment, and all you did is spin numbers. You did not identify one thing O’Reilly said that was incorrect. We concede: you are a much better liar than he is.
Olbermann spent literally three minutes talking to the screen, one of the eight objects that watch his show. He bashed O’Reilly, made a penis joke, called the FOX News host viewers dumb, and many other sick jokes.

But there is another important number collected by Nielsen (though only made available to the firm’s clients) that tells another story. This is the “cume,” the cumulative total number of viewers who watch a channel for at least six minutes during a given day. How can CNN have more total viewers when Fox has such a commanding lead in average viewers? Because the smaller total number of Fox viewers are watching more hours, they show up in the ratings as a higher average number of viewers.
CNN regularly claims a cume about 20 percent higher than Fox ’s (Deseret Morning News , 1/12/04). For instance, in April 2003, during the height of the fighting in Iraq, CNN ’s cume was significantly higher than Fox ’s: 105 million viewers tuned into CNN compared to 86 million for Fox (Cablefax , 4/30/03). But in the same period, the ratings reported by most media outlets had Fox in the lead, with an average of 3.5 million viewers to CNN ’s 2.2 million.
Even among Fox ’s core audience of conservatives, CNN has an edge in total viewership. A study by the ad agency Carat USA (Hollywood Reporter , 8/13/03) found that 37 percent of viewers calling themselves “very conservative” watch CNN in the course of a week, while only 32 percent tune to Fox .

After stating that, and watching what has been happening in the political world, I must ask why have the dems put our (YES America’s) security at risk? I have observed in the political arena many things, but not a hatred like this from the left. I am a centrist myself, but the behavior I have seen from the left is much more hate filled. One thing I must say about the right is they are one willing to listen to an argument and debate it, and sometimes come to a different conclusion in the end ( if the facts are right ). Plus the right (or conservatives, republicans) have never, in the history of this country, tried to block a judicial nominee to the supreme court, based on the persons political beliefs. But on the left, the group that is supposed to be the ‘understanding’ and ‘accepting’ group as become a consortium of hate. Also, I see a lot of “facts” that are a choice of statement vs telling the whole truth.
Again I MUST STATE I AM A CENTRIST. Yes, I have an American flag on my mantle, and yes, I read he constitution on a regular basis, and yes, I understand our own Declaration of Independence was a treasonous affair against the British government(yes, I am a true American).But I can not understand the hate that the left has for the right. I have many friends on both sides of the isle, but to this day ( only 34 years into my existence ), I have yet to be in the company of a left leaning group without being personally attacked, especially within the last several years. I hear about how the right is splitting the country apart, but how is that ( if you reply, have some facts PLEASE )???

Finally got to watch the video and boy was KO on top of his game. I’m not to sure what game he is playing but he was on top of it.
I loved his repeated references to reality and really bad impersonation or O’Reilly. His pronouncing ‘conservative’ as a curse word was just the cherry on the top. That’s some top notch unbiased reporting there Keith. At least Bill differentiates between left/liberal and ‘far left’, for Keith all conservatives are the same.
Those poor deluded people who hold KO up as a beacon of truth and light in there desperate lives are the same people who worship at the altar of Michael Moore. They both practice that same style of story telling where they try not to outright lie (although both fail repeatedly) but instead try to manipulate facts to imply something which isn’t true. The rating screed here is a perfect example. While he’s probably right about the percentages, KO forgets to mention that while O’Reilly has lost more viewers in the past year that KO has ever had, any single Factor episode will have higher ratings than an entire week of Countdown.
As for his ‘We’ comment, that just shows how little of the Factor he has ever really watched. O’Reilly routinely uses ‘we’ when referring to opinions shared by him and the Factor staff. It’s usually even stated as ‘we at the Factor’. Just another example of cheap shot smears masquerading as journalism.
