On Thursday night’s edition of The O’Reilly Factor, host Bill O’Reilly noted a correction on a Murtha misquotation.
This is the quote Keith Olbermann wetted his bed over and demanded a retraction from O’Reilly, even though several of his own MSNBC colleagues made the same mistake.
I wonder if Olbermann will share with his audience that O’Reilly made the correction. I doubt that he will do so, but if he does, I’m sure he’ll claim his segment had something to do with it.

There is only one thing I can say about this segment; Keith Olbermann is official the “world’s weirdest person.”
he #3 slot started out with John Murtha, who got a retraction for an incorrectly reported statement. Note that Olbermann never bothered to report the embarrassing statement itself, only the retraction. As opposed to all the times KO falsely attributes quotes to, say, Bill O’Reilly, and never corrects his own mistakes. But we digress. Oh wait, no we don’t, because Mr Bill and attack #98 is next on the propaganda program.You’ll note that our mole in Seacaucus told us yesterday that there would be another attack tonight, and, like Pavlov’s dog in a bell-testing factory, Krazy Keith delivered. To kick it off, KO ridiculed Mr Bill’s statement that “Rick Kaplan has left MSNBC”:
See, by overemphasizing the word “left”, he is sending a subtle signal to the dim bulbs in his audience that former MSNBC President Rick Kaplan might have had personal political beliefs that tended towards liberal or left.No, we’re not making that up. He really believes it! Then Olby was back bragging about ratings: he’s up, O’Reilly’s down. Once again, KO manipulated the data, never pointing out that O’Reilly’s viewership is anywhere from five to nine times his, depending on the day of the week. Then he went on a rant about how bad the Fox ratings are, omitting the fact that the lowest rated program on Fox has way more viewers than the highest rated show on MSNBC. Hey, we thought ratings were irrelevant, Krazy. You know, the five billions flies and all? Then Olby delivered his coup de grace to Mr Bill:
You can’t even lie well.You may have a point there, Krazy. You were going to expose “the lies” of Bill O’Reilly in this segment, and all you did is spin numbers. You did not identify one thing O’Reilly said that was incorrect. We concede: you are a much better liar than he is.
Olbermann spent literally three minutes talking to the screen, one of the eight objects that watch his show. He bashed O’Reilly, made a penis joke, called the FOX News host viewers dumb, and many other sick jokes.

A great piece on the church that wants to house soldiers wanting to go AWOL. What I find most interesting is the priest says, he wants to provide this service to do honor to those serving in uniform. But he strongly believes in “NO WAR.” That is fine, as a catholic I understand the theory and teaching behind that viewpoint. However, he must know all enter the military voluntarily. He must also know the purpose of a military is to fight wars.So I am at a loss, if he thinks all wars are bad… why does he think it is necessary to honor people that have signed up to take part in them. Not under his orders or the Vaticans for example, but the US? He is skirting the law by helping any soldier go AWOL.
Rev. Monty Smith of Washington state’s First United Methodist Church, the pastor who is taking in AWOL troops, appeared on Hannity & Colmes last night. Alan Colmes, as expected, gave him an easy pass, however when it was guest co-host’s Rich Lowery’s time to take him on, they went head-to-head. The Rev. refused to answer any of Lowery’s questions about the legality of what he is doing or out of al-Qaeda, Baathists, or the US Troops, who is the best force over there.

Al Gore appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to discuss his propaganda film on global warming, “An Inconvenient Lie Truth”
Stewart conducted a fairly moderate interview, however he did let Gore spin. For example, Stewart inquired about Gore’s private plane traveling and the former Vice President went off on some unrelated tangent.

The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that Congress did not take away the Court’s authority to rule on the military commissions’ validity, and then went ahead to rule that President Bush did not have authority to set up the tribunals at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and found the “military commissions” illegal under both military justice law and the Geneva Convention. The vote was 5-3, with the Chief Justice not taking part.

OLBERMANN: Here are Countdown’s ‘Top Three Newsmakers’ of this day. Number three, the rabid right-wing spin group, the Media Research Center, which studied our ‘Worst Persons in the World’ segment for the last year and discovered that of approximately 600 nominees, only 174 of them were conservative. That means roughly 71 percent of the Worsts are not conservative. I’d like to thank the MRC for confirming my point that the segment is apolitical.
It just goes to show that Keith can spin every situation so the zombies who are his fans will falsely believe the Media Research Center is lying. It’s sad.
Just to clarify, Keith is making is comparing the conservative nominees to all nominees and not just political ones. He also fails to inform his audience that there were only 23 liberal nominees.
