Thanks to Howard Dean, we find out that it is Republicans that have brought the “culture of corruption” to Washington and it is them to blame for infecting poor little William Jefferson with the disease.

Sorry but I couldn’t finish watching it!
When Matthews quoted Dean as mentioning a whole list of republicans who were GUILTY of corruption I felt the first wave of nausea!
So when did the psuedo-rational world get replaced with this bizzarroland where TV “stars” act like America’s enemies day in and day out! Where ratings no longer matter- see Matthews, Obermann, Caferty and Cooper!
These celebrities are so insulated from America that they actually think they’re doing good!
Let’s UN-insulate them!

I think even Chris Matthews is sick of wingnut Dean. He actually asked a few difficult questions.
And Howard Dean talks about “being honest with the people”. Yeah, we got that for 8 years with “lets be humanitarian” Clinton sending troops off to places unknown is South Europe. Clinton’s redefinition of a two letter word, and the excessive use of excecutive priviledge.
“People know what Dick Cheney is” LOL.
And Dean says “we will politce our house”. Yeah right, there’s a reason Lousiana Democrats and Rhode Island Democrats are known for being so corrupt even the snake-oil salesman won’t buy their tripe.
LAWLZ. Dean said he’s be “smart and tough” on the war.
They’ve already been dumb and weak. Dumb because Dean already said we couln’t win the war and weak because they are all busy providing tenure and protection to every (Jihadist) “Professor” they can muster.
And that energy crap? Please, dems. We all know big oil has you in their pocket too. It is noise and nothing more.
I particualrly liked when Dean started saying people cared about gas prices. Well yes Dean, we do, but it isn’t nearly as important to us as who is elected President, and gas prices are not in any way a wedge issue.

You guys are like little children who have to be corrected. Our current president is the worst in history and the fact that you have the audacity to compare him to ANY other president is laughable. You’ve had 8 freakin’ years and nothing’s been done, save for a disastrous war, record deficit, a lost city, loss of privacy.
If all Republicans are like you, no wonder your our country is ready for a change.

AnonRight “save for a disastrous war, record deficit, a lost city, loss of privacy”.
I am so sick of hearing you looney lefties talk about a disatrous war. Were you there? I was twice, I saw the progress we are making, I saw the mass graves saddam filled with women and children, I saw smiles on the peoples faces. Keep calling it what you want and the military will get more and more Republican by the day. Oh by the way Afghanistan A SUCCESS! Ecomony ROARING! Murder rate in US DOWN!
why don’t you libs try being american for a change and support my commander and chief.

Right-o Anon. SO good to see that liberal tolerance.
I’m sorry, but we were comparing a President to a President, specifically the previous President who did have his 8 years and totally screwed America (and an intern) over.
Lets take it 1 by 1:
Disastrous war:
We’re scaling down troops, last I heard. Iraq now has a democracy in place, Saddam Hussein is caught and on trial, and Iraq continues to move forward despite liberals PRAYING that whole civil war thing happens. In comparison to other wars this war was short, cheap, and had extremely low casualties. Its been 3 years and it hasn’t broken 2500. More abortions are performed per day than Iraq casualties in 3 years. More people die in car accidents in the US then they do in Iraq.
But like all good liberals, all you have in your mind is a death toll and a feeling of “blame America first”.
Record deficit: Wars cost money, and there’s been too much pork barrel spending by BOTH SIDES. Your cronies in the DNC are nothing but a bunch of obstructionist hacks who have not promoted any legislation, and when they were forced to create some because of the immigration situation, they sold America out as quickly as they could.
A Lost City: Blame the people who didn’t keep the levees up to date, which includes New Orleans and the state. Don’t forget Nagin’s 200 floating schoolbuses and Blanco’s eish not to nationalize the guard, even though Bush called her MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE THE HURRICANE.
But why let facts muddle your worldview.
Loss of privacy: Are they still on the “domestic spying” meme? For all the people who talk about a government controlled state, the craziest liberals are still free to spout their nonsense, they can even commit TREASON without being stopped.
Please AnonRight, get off the kool-aid. Its messing with your logical apparatus.

Loooooooonie Left!
There are endless quotes and video clips from the who’s who of the Democratic party backing Bush going to war including Bill ( right out of the White House) Clinton!

Uh, there was this, there was that, people are tired of this, of that, no free lunches, trains, this and that, oil companies, uh, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, positive agenda, not negative, right, what we’re gonna do, Bill Jefferson, leader Pelosi, he’s not indicted, we’ll be tough on everybody, including Republicans, police the house, positive campaign, jobs for millions of years, retrofit Al Gore’s bedroom for clean coal, wind power, rebuild renewable electric grids for jobs, change.
I am insane, thank you.

Tell ‘em…...we need more vets who’ve been there to come back and tell these goonie birds the positive efforts of our military.
The pervasive, negative, pernicious sniveling of these Democarpers (carp…..look it up) is as bad as a case of hemorroids.
12:05 pm [ Quote ]
The Dems are traditionally more interested in bigger government, more taxes for welfare programs and handouts, minor incentives for business, no new oil refineries or exploration or incentives to develop alternative fuels, weak military and security, and maybe the occasional indiscretions while in office….....that about covers my perception.
Dean might as well swing a large pocket watch in front of the camera and try to lull voters into buying the Democarp plan. “You will fall under the Democratic trance and pull the lever for us”.
12:12 pm [ Quote ]
Yep, dems want traditionally more government more spending and more welfare… lol.. too bad there has been a repug house and whitehouse providing all of that for ya…. get over it you dittoheads… the repugs gave you a big lie and ya fell for it… outrageous spending, huge government… no progress except getting their buddies rich… live with your regressive policies that put everyone broke you hypocrits…
12:17 pm [ Quote ]
Unfortunately the democrats have positioned themselves to prosper ONLY if there is a failure in Iraq.
Liberals are rooting against a democratic Iraq!
Liberal media coverage is “glass half empty……NEVER glass half full”

Bahah, the whole of leftism is based on a child-like mentality that the government is your mommy and daddy.
Hell, most of you leftists don’t even know what you think. If it gives you a warm, touchy, feeling then that’s the direction to go.
I’m sure the commie/socialist academics (who are the indoctrinators of you drones) appreciate your thoughtlessness though.

So the war didn’t happen? Was it faked like the conspiracy fruitcakes thought the moon landing was?
Which reminds me, you notice how the conspiracy wackjobs are nearly invariably leftists.
It must be that reality distortion that you have to possess in order to be a leftist.

I thought it was pretty funny that Matthews asked Dean, “What’s your main bullseye in terms of DIShonesty?” Then, after Dean ran through his laundry list in order to answer the question, Matthews accuses him of running a negative campaign. Talk about setting him up!

Sure, Sean.
Just repeat what the military tells you to say. You conveniently forget that we were lied to, and you were too. If you don’t care about that, that’s your choice. But that’s pretty un-American of you. You, sir, have no right to ask me to stick my head in the sand, no matter whether you’ve been “over there!”
Oh, and by the way, there are plenty of veterans who have been to Iraq who don’t agree with you. So quit acting like you own the issue.

Chris, I think it’s unconscionable for the Republicans to lie about the war, I can’t believe that culture of corruption is Newt Gingrich Karl Rove.
Thanks.

Oh and this is pathetic…

I’m going to go out on a limb and say its a heavy minority you speak of who don’t agree with Sean.
And yes, since sean has been there, his opinion holds a hell of a lot more water than yours, especially with your “facts” (aka opinions provided by the DNC talking points) you posted.
Stick to bumper stickers Anon and let the grown ups discuss and handle these affairs.

Again there are endless quotes and video clips of your favorite Democrats beating the drums of war leading up to Iraq.
Fresh from the White House Bubba Clinton and still war supporter Hillary backed the war.
When you continuously accuse the GOP of “Lies” what you are really saying is the dumb Dems are rubes and are easily duped.

Dean wants to make minimum wage a living wage? “enough to support your family”?
...is he SERIOUS? Does he have no concept of basic economics? of inflation? am i interpreting him wrong?
4:35 pm [ Quote ]
No, you’re not interpreting him wrong. He’s saying what he thinks will get people behind him. And since most people do not have a concept of basic economics, it will probably work to some degree.
And we all know how often campaign promises turn into reality.
4:45 pm [ Quote ]
true, true.
its still mindbogglingly stupid, though. of course nobody [matthews] questions it. and i thought only my father was stupid enough to fall for the ‘living wage’ nonsense.

Under the Bush Gang’s leadership get ready to see your wages buy less and less every year, while the top 1% make out like bandits!
Oh by the way, I wonder why the FBI only did a “sting” on 1 democrat, and no republicans.
I wonder why they are not pressing charges. Maybe…. Entrapment?
Not saying that taking the money is justified, but I wonder how many Republicans would have turned down $100,000 cash.
My bet would be zero.
Dean is 100% correct. Culture of corruption is putting it lightly. In reality I wish they were only corrupt. It is far worse. If you don’t believe me, go find out what people in other countries think of America these days. I know, they don’t count, cuz we can nuke em any time we want right?
Just remember what party is holding back all the investigations.
If they were innocent they would welcome investigations so they can be cleared. Duh!
Ed Schultz just spelled it out better than anyone. Anyone that voted for the last tax cut package is guilty of a crime far worse than Jefferson.

What the Republicans have brought is not a culture of corruption.
It is more like a disease.
America = The Constitution
After giving all that money to Bush, and flying him around in his Enron jet, it is amazing Ken Ley had enough left over to pay for his lawyers. Imagine what will happen if Ley starts talking.

Good evening.
This is a special night for me. Exactly three years ago, on July 15, 1976, I accepted the nomination of my party to run for President of the United States…
You’ve had 8 freakin’ years and nothing’s been done, save for a disastrous war, record deficit, a lost city, loss of privacy.
“Mr. Bin Laden used to live in Sudan … And we’d been hearing that the Sudanese wanted America to start meeting with them again.
They released him. At the time, ‘96, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America.”
“Clinton Energy Secretary Hazel O’Leary included Enron officials on trade missions to India, China, Pakistan and South Africa. White, returning from a 1994 trip to Mexico, wrote chairman Lay that “much opportunity” existed there for natural gas, and he sent a copy of Mexico’s energy plans…”
“Enron showed its gratitude. At Christmas 1995, documents show, it donated an unknown sum of cash in O’Leary’s name to a charity called “I Have a Dream.” And when Clinton ran for re-election a year later, the company made its largest single contribution ever—$100,000—to the President’s party.”
If all Republicans are like you, no wonder your our country is ready for a change.
Yup.
Trouble for you though is that the “change” won’t be the moonbats reclaiming anything either.
It’s the RINOs and libs who get bounced in the coming election, only to be replaced by real conservatives.
So you dipshits had better keep stock up on hankies and keep Dr. Jack around awhile longer AnonRight.

Top Ten Things NOT To Do Around The US Capitol…
Since someone apparently didn’t get the memo, I thought it would be useful to compile a list of the things you shouldn’t do around the US Capitol while it’s in session:

I was recently listening to a co-worker go on about, while I was working mind you, how bad he has it with high gas prices and after listening to non-stop stupidity I gave up and told him that the prices aren’t that high…
Well, that set him off and he started ranting and raving.
I told him about inflation.
He didn’t know or understand that simple concept. I could not believe someone could be that stupid.
But it shut him up pretty good, I don’t tihnk he belies it however. The last time prices were this high relative to the inflation adjusted dollar, was in 1979…
Weren’t the Iranians causing shit back then too?
I remember waiting in long lines with my Dad in the 70’s, having to get gas only on specific days, not driving when we could, walking to school. My co-worker drives all over the place every day.

5:26 pm [ Quote ]
I posted this elsewhere, but it’s equally fittting here…this thread shows the folly of bickering with leftists.
Long ago the left engaged in lofty thought, but now, as Dennis Prager recently wrote, it’s limited to one-word ideas tossed about every time there’s disagreement. In their minds, conservatives are racists, bigots, sexists, homophobes, islamophobes or imperialists.
Once this short list is committed to memory, declare the other side stupid and engage in self-congratulatory intellectual superiority to demonstrate unequivocal support for peace, fairness, tolerance, the poor, the disenfranchised and the environment. This is done without the slightest examination of the consequences of policies that address these issues.
This is easy. Peace? Sure, let’s scrap German and all speak Arabic now. Fairness? Why not, who wants a meritocracy? Tolerance? Off course, who are we to set standards and damage others’ self-esteem? Poverty? Come on, who’s not for wealth re-distribution – that will fix it. Disenfranchised? We need to stop restricting people’s rights – we certainly don’t need to check voter ID. Environment? Who among us doubts that Al Gore is an expert or that computer climate models are in fact robust?
Is it any wonder this is the realm of most kids, academics and idiots like Howard Dean?
