BREAKING: Tony Snow Will Be New White House Press Secretary…
Big Hat Tip to Expose the Left Someone else is watching TV right now, so I missed the Fox News alert, but Expose the Left is reporting that Tony Snow will in fact be taking the job as White House…...

Mark Levin would have been great as the press secretary. He would have kicked the lib media’s ass.

Change in job but not description. he will still have to lie his ass off.

How is the brainwashing working out? I bet life is easier without having to constanly think.

Yeah Frank44. For the life of me I can’t see why Bush/Bolten didn’t pick Chris Mathews or someone of his ilk.
Might be the spittle factor I guess.

Tony Snow will make a terrific press secretary. I think that he will challenge the press to delve deeper into the important issues. I would like to thank Tony and his family for the sacrifice they are making.

I hope he’s a better liar than McLellan. I just don’t think McLellan was very believable when he was lying.
10:11 pm [ Quote ]
If they were going to pick a liar they would have picked Dan Rather.

They didn’t pick a liar. Check this out!

Looks like a done deal….

And they claim FOX is unbiased. How can that be when one of their own becomes the press sec. If there ever was a more devoted Republican it would be hard to find. Yet, the righties scream and holler if a democrat works for the news. A double standard. YOU BET.
11:27 pm [ Quote ]
You are more of an idiot than I thought. FOX doesn’t claim to be unbiased; it’s fair and balanced, stupid!
I don’t think you would be complaining if FOX News contributor Susan Estrich were to work in a Democratic administration….. oh wait, she did!
11:40 pm [ Quote ]
Ummmm…..
Wouldn’t one expect the WH Press Sec. to be a republican? You know, since the president is a republican? Wasn’t Dee Dee Myers a democrat? Joe Lockhart? Snow no longer works for the media, he serves at the pleasure of the president.
Duh.
11:41 pm [ Quote ]
A stupid post?
YOU BET.
11:43 pm [ Quote ]
Ian, you took the words right out of my mouth.
Susan Estrich ran Michael Dukakis’s campaign in 1988 and she is on that network all the time.
Also, Bob Beckel ran Walter Mondale’s campaign in 1984 and he appears on FNC network more often than Susan Estrich.
Neither of these guys are exactly far right-wing zealots.

LOL, you crack me up.
So now Fox news is officially the fair, balanced and biased network?
But anyway, Tony Snow is used to skewing the facts on his show and appearances on Fox news, so it shouldn’t be too hard to fit right in McClellan’s shoes.

10:13 of the video here has CNN ticker that Tony Snow is the new press secretary!!
Snow in the other Washington, too. Fresh powder to ski on!! Swell!!

Zim,
I think any sane person knows that you manipulated what I said.
Both, Beckel and Estrich, are FOX News Contributors, meaning they get paid by FOX.

Which is it, Libs?
Is Snow a lapdog for Bush and the Republicans or he is someone who always criticizes Bush and doesn’t like him much at all?
Snow hasn’t even been officially introduced as the new Press Secretary, yet every major left-wing loony smear site ALREADY has their talking points in-hand and are displaying several quotes and criticisms by Snow about Bush over the past few years in order to imply there is some kind of major friction between Bush and Snow.
Then, you’ve brainiac Zim throws out the “Snow is used to skewing the facts on his show” BS like he is some kind of dimwit that will spin anything to put Bush and Republicans in a positive light.
Which is it, already?
You guys can’t have it both ways.

anaconda,
first, I have absolutely no problem with Snow being press secretary and I find it natural that a republican president will have a republican/conservative/rightwing press secretary – there is nothing wrong with that.
As far as him skewing the facts, well, you have the internet and I’m sure perfectly capable finding about some of the instances in which he was not accurate or flat out lied (knowingly or not, that’s the bigger question).

Brainwashing? no thats when you are in the 32% that support Bush. You gotta be brainwashed for that.
12:40 am [ Quote ]
How can you be brainwashed when you are in the miniority?

Please tell me how it can be “fair and balanced” on one hand but you say it doesn’t claim to be unbiased on the other. That statement makes no sense to me.
It’s the only news channel I know that needs to constantly tell its viewers that its “fair and balanced” NOT

Fox is biased. Has anyone heard any more about the UCLA-led study that claimed to “objectively quantify” bias in the media?
Here is a link to the report on that study:

Some great Tony Snow quotes.
– Bush has “lost control of the federal budget and cannot resist the temptation to stop raiding the public fisc.” [3/17/06]
– “George W. Bush and his colleagues have become not merely the custodians of the largest government in the history of humankind, but also exponents of its vigorous expansion.” [3/17/06]
– “President Bush distilled the essence of his presidency in this year’s State of the Union Address: brilliant foreign policy and listless domestic policy.” [2/3/06]
– “George Bush has become something of an embarrassment.” [11/11/05]
– Bush “has a habit of singing from the Political Correctness hymnal.” [10/7/05]
– “No president has looked this impotent this long when it comes to defending presidential powers and prerogatives.” [9/30/05]
– Bush “has given the impression that [he] is more eager to please than lead, and that political opponents can get their way if they simply dig in their heels and behave like petulant trust-fund brats, demanding money and favor — now!” [9/30/05]
– “When it comes to federal spending, George W. Bush is the boy who can’t say no. In each of his three years at the helm, the president has warned Congress to restrain its spending appetites, but so far nobody has pushed away from the table mainly because the president doesn’t seem to mean what he says.” [The Detroit News, 12/28/03]
– “The president doesn’t seem to give a rip about spending restraint.” [The Detroit News, 12/28/03]
– “Bush, for all his personal appeal, ultimately bolstered his detractors’ claims that he didn’t have the drive and work ethic to succeed.” [11/16/00]
– “Little in the character of demeanor of Al Gore or George Bush makes us say to ourselves: Now, this man is truly special! Little in our present peace and prosperity impels us to say: Give us a great man!” [8/25/00]
– “George W. Bush, meanwhile, talks of a pillowy America, full of niceness and goodwill. Bush has inherited his mother’s attractive feistiness, but he also got his father’s syntax. At one point last week, he stunned a friendly audience by barking out absurd and inappropriate words, like a soul tortured with Tourette’s.” [8/25/00]
– “He recently tried to dazzle reporters by discussing the vagaries of Congressional Budget Office economic forecasts, but his recitation of numbers proved so bewildering that not even his aides could produce a comprehensible translation. The English Language has become a minefield for the man, whose malaprops make him the political heir not of Ronald Reagan, but Norm Crosby.” [8/25/00]
– “On the policy side, he has become a classical dime-store Democrat. He gladly will shovel money into programs that enjoy undeserved prestige, such as Head Start. He seems to consider it mean-spirited to shut down programs that rip-off taxpayers and mislead supposed beneficiaries.” [8/25/00]
