Expose the Left
April 9, 2006

Cynthia McKinney (D – GA) appeared on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher Friday night to discuss her attack on a Capitol police officer. She also reiterated her claim that the Bush administration knew about 9/11 before it happened.

When McKinney was asked about the incident, she would give long answers and went off on unrelated tangents.

Why are all the comedy talk shows run by liberals?

    Jay Leno
    David Letterman
    Conan O’Brien
    Jimmy Kimmel
    Carson Daly
    Jon Stewart
    Stephen Colbert

    I’m with Joop on Leno.

Leno’s a lot closer to middle than the rest, but most importantly, he’s not a mean-spirited prick like so many of the rest are.

For example, I used to watch the Daily Show religiously – when it was funny, but Stewart’s become a shill for his moonbat pals, save those rare occasions when he takes a limp-wristed shot at them in order to look fair and even-handed.

Guess I shouldn’t be surprised by that with Lizz Winstead’s having created the show though.

As for that hack Maher, the only thing Mckinney is passionate about is maintaining her absolute stupidity.

That ‘look’ she gets isn’t because she’s nuts, it’s because ‘thinkin’ is a mother’ for those with space
between their ears that’s still for rent.

Could be worse though. Cus’ if I were a fly on the wall in a Daly Mckinney interview, I’d be begging for Raid or the zapper.

leno is no liberal, and for that matter, neither is stewart. the guy has a comedy show that has only had the chance to address absurdities that happen in THIS government. just because the democrats are garbage at politics and couldn’t get into offcice if their lives depended on it, doesn’t make him a liberal. the guy is both amused and annoyed at the current administration—like most americans—and because of this, you need to group his COMEDY SHOW whose job it is to make fun of politics in with the “liberal media” thesis because you see it as a threat? with maher, obviously the guy’s very liberal. does that mean you shouldn’t watch his show, which is populated by debaters from more that just the liberal side? pff, your answer’s probably yes anyway.

as for leno’s voting for kerry, is that the measure now? because he (allegedly) voted kerry over bush, he’s a liberal? come on, those are some of the two weakest candidates in recent memory. plus, joop makes a good point about california. come on, step up your game.

better discussion: even if all the comedy show hosts were liberal, who cares? there’s no need to get defensive.

    I think Maher is libertarian.

Let’s keep in mind that Maher is supposed to be, above all, an entertainer. He usually manages that well enough. He seems uninformed on a broad range of subjects, but he can be bluntly funny at times.

The McKinney incident is telling for two reasons:

    1) A black Democrat chose to respond with charges of racial profiling instead of turning this into a discussion about security, thus showing how fragmented the party really is.

    2) The media was willingly led by the nose with the race issue. Obviously, it isn’t about race but about security.

I can’t imagine that many Americans are fooled by this charade for a moment. What’s amazing is Maher, who begins with a reasonable out for McKinney, doesn’t press her on why the Democrats are such failures at getting elected. Jeez Louise, it’s almost as obvious as the pin that should have been on her lapel.

The reason why most comedy shows are run by liberals is because conservatives aren’t funny. Take, for example, Rush Limbaugh. That guy’s show is like watching a funeral procession. What can conservatives really be funny at? Most of them are simply out there banging their bibles, and the best crack they can come up usually involves Ted Kennedy or something about a Ford Mustang. They should just go back to Noah’s Ark and leave the comedy to the professionals, i.e. Sinbad & Bernie Mac.

Wow, another McKinney post! The wingnuts are losing it!

I don’t have a clue what this means, but I’ll attempt to clarify.

Politics is about looking and being one step ahead of the competition. McKinney might have chosen to praise this guard and make him THE poster child for the Democrats’ position (whatever that turns out to be) on security. Congressional security might have mirrored the nation, and it’s an idea that would resonate with voters.

The Democrats seem to be incapable of seizing any issue and really owning it. They’re always playing catch-up.

It’s a lack of leadership, really.

Of course these bible bangers will blame it on the MSM. And we have the great leader Tom Delay….wait, he’s headed to the joint. At least they have Bill Frist, the only doctor I know of who could say Schiavo could recover by watching a tv image of her grunting. There was nothing in this topic about religion, no conservative broached the subject; but the hatred of the Left for Christ and the Church is so pervasive that even when the subject is not being discussed, they must take every opportunity to denigrate Christ and Christians that, their perverse lifestyle choices may seem approved by society and thereby they may salve their evil consciences

On topic: Most of these so-called comedians are on the extreme left wing of American politics, and to deny that simple fact is to deny reality. It is insane anymore to use the word libertarian, when we as a nation, are divided into two philosophical camps: (1) Liberals (NeoComs) who are trying to turn this country into a socialist utopia, with all that implies. (2) Conservatives who believe in the Constitution as it was framed and as it was envisioned by the Founding Fathers, and all that implies.

Lastly, McKinney broke the law when she asaulted a police officer, she should have to suffer the consequences of her actions, but the truth is, politicians are so afraid of being called racists, she will escape her responsibilities and be elected over and over, not because the voters think her qualified, but because the want numerical equality in the Congress more than they want someone in office with the ability to work for all of America.

Some liberals are trying to turn this country into a socialist state, but there are just as many or more conservatives that want to turn this country into a federalist state. Which is not what our Constitution calls for. Bush is one of them. Give me a true conservative over a true liberal any day. BUT I haven’t seen any true conservatives here. You can not be a true conservative and support Bush. You can call yourself one, but that doesn’t make it true.

    DanP,

to me it seems that people tend to interpret the teachings of Christ based on their own internal biases – this is simply human. Christ is obviously not alive today and while some poeple might believe that the Bible is the true literal word of God, a rigorous academic study of it shows that it has been changed and edited many times. As such the meaning behind the teaching is not obvious to grasp and those who consider it to be obvious are missing the bigger picture.

People cannot help but interpret the Bible through their own view of how the world is and how God should be. While all of moderate, liberal, and evangelical Christians say that they believe God is compassionate, for example, it is clear that their definitions of what compassion is are quite distinct.

    11:23 pm  [ Quote ]

DanP: Please tell me where in the Bible God indicates or even hints He is tolerant towards sin? Yes, God is compassionate (merciful) towards sinners, but who in our society defines Godly compassion?

Liberals? Who are mostly antagonistic towards Christ and the Church. That is not a broad brush, reckless charge motivated by my partisan bias; it is in their public record, it is their political agenda, it is the legislation they sponsor and pass, it is the judicial decisions of liberal judges; in every way possible the record of liberals is dominated by an anti-Christ philosophy. Now it is a different matter altogether whether God loves sinners, while hating sin, if you choose to say that means He is tolerant – then in that narrow definition I will agree He is tolerant in His love towards us all. Or, is His compassion directed to those in genuine need and seeking His Will? He does love everyone, even the worst sinner and I am grateful He is merciful towards us all, so in that narrow definition I am glad He is compassionate.

Is it up to Conservatives to define Divine compassion? People who may have their own agenda when defining His compassion. Their record tends mostly to support Christ, the Church, family and faith based moral values. Even though many of them as individuals fail to live up to those ideals. So, I would reject the liberals as being able to define God’s Nature becasue of their record of antagonism towards His Son; and you would reject conservatives because they don’t define His Nature in a way that allow you to entertain your own selfish lusts without any guilt.

Zim: According to you, a liberal, and one having expressed your great dislike for all non-liberals and especially Christians, are you the one God was assigned to decide what His Word really means? Are you qualified to interpret Scripture? There are more ancient manuscripts to testify to the accurate translation of the Bible over thousands of years, than there are about any other document in the world. Whenever ancient manuscripts are found, liberals (atheists/agnostics) always claim there have been errors in translation or transcription, but in every case it has been demonstrated that from the most ancient texts ever found, the scholars appointed by King James, despite its archaic language, perfectly transcribed the Bible, except for a very few minor errors, which had no impact on the message at all.

You are attacking those Christians who hate. What or who do they hate? They hate sin, they hate all those things which transgress God’s Word, but except for fringe groups and kooks, genuine Christians love even their worst enemies. Are they human and make mistakes, use intemperate langauge, engage in vain disputations and fail to meet Christ’s perfect standard of love towards everyone? Yes! Christians are very human, very flawed and as guilty of sin as the worst sinners among us. The only difference between you and them is that they accept Christ and are saved, and until they get to Heaven they will keep making mistakes, we all do. Well, I means everyone but liberals make mistakes.

To both of you, please note once again I did not bring the Bible or Christ into this topic, those things had nothing to do with this subject; but a liberal, never missing an opportunity to try and denigrate Christ and the Church inserted his hate for all things Christian into the conversation. Then after I reacted to his remarks and saying they were out of line to the topic, you two decided it was time to pile on Christians and spew your own hate for Christians, and your contempt because they are willing to stand up for the Truth. So, when we talk about hate, let us set the record straight, you liberals were sperwing the hate under this topic, not any Christian posting here.

I tried not to watch this video because I’ve had about all the McKinney I can take.. but I finally caved and watched. It was exactly as I suspected, and just like every other interview we’ve seen all week….

“Why did you say this was racial”

    “I didn’t”

“uh… yeah, I think ya did… over and over and over”

“What I said was, we still have racial lines in this country… blah blah blah blah” (in previous interviews, before her “apology” she used “racial profiling”)

Just a bunch of BS to mask the fact that she hit a cop… I mean seriously, what was the deal with running around to every new show screaming “racial profiling” with here serial killer look on her face, and then when she got done, going to Congress and apologizing? She certainly doesn’t sound sorry to me.

Anyway, none of that was unexpected… what was disgusting was the usual audience of extreme left libs uproariously cheering for her multiple times… Cheering for what? Saying the President had foreknowledge about 9/11? Or for hitting a police officer for doing his job? Or for her history of conflicts with the cops? Or how about for her body guard assaulting a reporter?
