Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D – GA) appeared on CNN this afternoon with two of her lawyers to discuss the altercation that occurred last week between the congresswoman and a Capitol police officer.
When Wolf Blitzer would ask about the incident she would immediately turn it into a race issue, even if it had nothing to do with it. One time she answered that school children who visited McKinney were being eyed on by police, simply because they were black. Or perhaps it could have been because they were in the Capitol building and it is the police’s job to keep a watch on everyone.
When one of her lawyers, James Myart, was asked if there was a physical altercation he too immediately turned this into a race issue. Later in the interview, Blitzer asked the lawyer if he thought the officer acted appropriately to being stopped. Myart turned the question around and rhetorically asked Wolf if the congresswoman reacted and acted appropriately.
McKinney contradicted herself several times during the interview. One of those times was when CNN put up a screen split three ways. The first one was a live shot of McKinney, the second was a several month old photo and the third was a recent photo. I am not sure if McKinney was aware or not that the screen showed those pictures because she said that there was no excuse for the police officer for not recognizing her because nothing has changed about her looks. However, later in the interview she said that her hair-do has changed and implied that isn’t an excuse, even though the police officer couldn’t see her face as her back was turned to him/her as she passed through security.
She may not know how not to look like an idiot, but she sure knows how to use this:

I think McKinney really screwed up when she made this whole thing a big race issue. Then again, that’s how she became a Congresswoman in the first place, race-baiting.
Looking the way she did at that press conference last week, I would have approached her with my arm extended while holding a can of pepper spray because she looked like a wild animal.
Geez, maybe this wouldn’t have happened if she had been wearing the lapel ALL members of Congress are REQUIRED to wear!
No, no, no…I don’t have to abide by these measly white security rules because I am a BLACK woman!
In my opinion, if she would have just apologized for the incident and let it go, the US Capital Police would probably just drop the charges and forget about it.
However, since she REFUSED to apologize for hitting the cop and is now throwing down the “race card” on top of it, I think the prosecutor will pursue these charges against her and deservedly so.
More often than not, it’s much better to admit your mistake and apologize for it ASAP. Americans are very forgiving people and it would be old news by now.
Instead, she has to make a major spectacle of the whole thing and looks like an idiot (literally and figuratively) because she’s blaming the cops for something that was clearly her fault.
I really hope they prosecute and throw the book at her. That would serve her right for making an ass out of herself and then trying to smear the security officers who do such important but thankless work in order to keep everyone safe on a daily basis.

Early in Clinton’s first term I clearly remember that a Senior Republican Senator commented that “Clinton should watch his back when he went down to Georgia.” Remember Congressman Bob Dorran with 15 years in as a Republican in the House? I think that guy was mentally unstable! I personally think that the Mckinney should get her ass handed to her for what she did, but remember that the Republican party also has it fair share Moon Bats as you call them on the hill.

She then walked around the metal detector at a brisk pace and refused to stop after the officer asked her 3 times, all while sporting a hairdon’t that looks like the crackwhore from boyz in the hood, and when the officer grabbed her arm to stop her she hit him.
