Air America host Mike Malloy spewed anti-American, anti-Troop, anti-War diatribe on his show this evening. Around 10:55pm the following remarks covered in this post was said.
How to know if you’re suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS):
MIKE MALLOY: This is a murder trip, this is murder. How can we, you and me, how can we, is it getting harder for you to, if you’re a man, to stand infront of the mirror like I do in the morning and shave? You have to look at yourself for about seven to eight minutes, right? If you’re a woman, whatever you do infront of the mirror, is it getting harder?... I’m becoming numb, are you? I mean, the outrage is still inside me, but how much outrage can you maintain 24/7 before you become numb? You say Jesus Christ, I can’t think about this anymore, I just can’t.
Malloy accuses our troops of “war pornography”, which is sharing and selling pictures of blown up children. Has anyone ever heard of this because I sure haven’t? Malloy calls it a fetish, but I would call his hate of our troops and America a fetish:
MALLOY: This is not a war. There is nothing honorable. Do you agree with me on that? There is nothing honorable about what we’re doing. There is no honor here. There is no honor for the United States, there is no honor for our troops, there is no honor for the military leadership, there is no honor here in what we’re doing in Iraq. None. None. Every—not a bit.
It didn’t take long for Malloy to pull out a Hitler reference:

This guy is WAY too theatrical. I could barely get through the clip – it’s so dramatic and he’s so appalled. All that garbage about looking in the mirror…what does he feel so guilty about?
I do disagree, however, with this notion that anyone who does not support the war is anti-America. I think this is the greatest country on the planet, but I do think the American people were misled on some level. I’m not sure who to believe – I guess it all comes down to individual philosophy. That certainly doesn’t mean that I hate America. I just may not agree with the current administration at this time. But, one of the greatest things about this country is that we are entitled to have, and express our opinions freely. If you don’t like what someone has to say, no one is going to force you to listen anyway.
As far as the troops are concerned, God bless them. They were trained to follow orders, and that’s what they are doing. I have nothing but respect for them – they are doing a job that most of the people in this country (including a great deal of people on this site) are way too cowardly to do.
I guess that’s all I really wanted to say.

This is the PERFECT example why Air ANTI-America is failing miserably on the airwaves and will ultimately be put out of its misery before long.
No sane American wants to listen to this kind of garbage on a daily basis and it’s no wonder why that network doesn’t have any listeners.
Whether you agree with the Iraq War or not, the troops ARE doing an honorable thing. Trying to give those people freedom is indeed as honorable as it gets and their service to our country should be respected regardless of what you think of their mission.
There is a reason why this guy can’t look at himself in the mirror every morning, but it’s NOT just because of the Iraq War and our status in the world.
This jackass is just a completely miserable person any way you look at it. This is the kind of stuff you hear out of people who are suicidal and then takes a bottle of pills or puts a gun in his mouth. You can hear it in the tone of his voice. The guy is very disturbed.

Commando: I grew up in a time when children and young people never referred to a mature person by their first name without their permission, it was a sign of disrespect for instance for a child to call any grown man or woman by their first name. The same thing applied to people of any age representing a business and either in person or on the telephone using ones first name without permission, it is impolite and disrespectful. Let us examine a few parts of my early, cowardly, career and see how it matches up with your remarks.
1. I served in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam war. I have a few medals and commendations for my service in and out of the war zone.
2. Shortly after getting out of the Corps I served for three years as a police officer, having my life at severe risk on many occasions and being commended by my superiors for courage under extreme conditions, like being attacked by a knife wielding nut case and not shooting him, but subduing him by physical force instead.
3. After my police work and before I began my real business career, I was one of the first Paramedics ever trained and certified in this country, and besides risking my life on several occasions saving the lives of others, I was kidnapped at gunpoint during a rock concert, when I was providing triage for the young people who were either injured or who got ill; and I was run over and in a coma for several days while rescuing people, including a baby, from an automobile accident on a busy interstate.
4. In my various positions, listed above, I have risked my life on many occasions and have been directly involved in rescuing people despite clear and direct threats to my life.
But, you are right as usual ‘Commando,’ I would have run away when the WTC was hit and I would have cried like a baby. Isn’t it nice to know how right you were? By the way, when you were in NYC and the WTC was hit, how many people did you rescue and when was your life directly at risk!

I don’t need a lecture from you on manners. I am an extremely polite individual. I treat everyone with great respect and exhibit common courtesy in all situations. I refer to everyone as “Mr.” or “Mrs.”, sir or ma’am, I always say “please” and “thank you.” I have tremendous admiration and gratitude for the elderly, and it disturbs me that they are often tossed aside in our society. I always hold the door open for a woman (or man), I never exit an elevator until all females have exited, and when I am on the subway or bus, even when there are plenty of available seats, I refuse to sit if one woman or elderly individual is standing. I would never harm another individual (barring self-defense), and I have complete respect for people’s property and space. All I ask is to be treated with some level of common courtesy.
I genuinely appreciate your autobiography – it’s quite impressive. I am assuming that my screenname offends you because of your military background. It’s unfortunate that it took you so long to finally just come out and say it, because you could have saved yourself from having such a fit. I apologize if my screenname seems disrespectful to you. I certainly didn’t mean any offense. That being said, do you feel that your list of accomplishments gives you a right to unnecessarily criticize those with admittedly lesser accomplishments?
And, finally, you have YET to provide ONE example of when I have EVER said that I hate America or the people who live here, even though you are so insistent that I feel that way.

Ok, I heard the segment. It’s important to hear the 2 or 3 minutes leading up to the clip you have here. He’s talking about iraqi children being murdered with a bullet to their head by american forces. It actually makes a lot more sense in context. This is part of Operation Swarmer.
If you get a chance, fix the clip so your readers can hear it in context. It sounds a whole lot more human than what you presented.
