POTUS: Our country must also remain on the offensive against terrorism here at home. The enemy has not lost the desire or capability to attack us. Fortunately, this Nation has superb professionals in law enforcement, intelligence, the military, and homeland security. These men and women are dedicating their lives to protecting us all, and they deserve our support and our thanks.(ALL CLAP)
POTUS: They also deserve the same tools they already use to fight drug trafficking and organized crime – so I ask you to reauthorize the Patriot Act.

I think that Ben Nelson from Nebraska clapped. They were just talking about it on Fox. But he looked like an island unto himself after standing to clap in the midst of some disgusted Dems.

So the Dems are basically saying that they don’t support the patriot act at all since they oppose a few parts of it. What about the premis of protecting America as a basic duty. They can spin it anyway they want but we need them to stand to show the world we are united against those who would harm us.

I dont think I’d clap either…hes trying to parallel what the president did with the wire taps to what police do to criminals…I guess he didnt think about the fact that ALL those taps must be submitted and approved before they can LEGALLY take place.
You misguided souls will sign your house away if bush says so…what hes doing is not legal…with all the mishaps happening, you’d think he’d want to go through the proper channels…
