While some bloggers link to conspiracy theories of Abramoff’s connection to Republicans, others show how he is connected to Democrats:

It’s certainly true that the Abramoff web covers much more than just Republicans. Even some liberal blogs have been posting about this, and there have been a few recent DKos posts about corruption reaching their own. While their criticisms of their own party members that are in the web is not as blatant, they seem to pretty straightforward about it, and at least the criticism is there. I have yet to see a conservative/Republican blog criticize their own congressmen for their shady deals with Abramoff and if someone knows of one please let me know.

While the left leaning blogs have certainly focused most of their coverage of the Abramoff afair on republicans connected to him, even the Daily Kos had a few posts recently about their own party members being involved in the affair. The TPM cafe has also been doing a lot of investigation into the affair. While their criticism of their own isn’t as blatant as that of the of members of the other party, at least that criticism is there – I have yet to see a republican/conservative blog cover the Abramoff scandal and if someone knows of one, please let me know.
Meanwhile, I certainly agree with rgeller1 – if anyone is involved in corruption, they should be out of our government and it is up to the people and the media to bring attention to such politicians.
