Just why do you think those Democrats got so upset over the message delivered by Rep. Jean Schmidt? The message was from a US Marine Colonel to Rep. Murtha, “Cowards cut and run, Marines never do.” The outrage was not because of a lie being told about a decorated Korean and Vietnam war veteran, rather, because it is a bold and very strong truth. The Dems were screaming bloody murder because they know that “they”, not just Rep Murtha, are preceived as cowards by our enemies in the War on Terror. Punks don’t like being called punks. I guess that’s why Libs now want to be called “Progressives”. God bless our troops!

    Jean Schmidt: Ball Buster?

The woman who defeated the media darling: David Hackett. Did her comments cross the line? Yes. The way she phrased her statement implied that Rep. Murtha was a coward…he is a decorated war veteran who served his country with courage…

tomorrow’s media spin: “Schmidt calls veteran Murtha a coward”... Obviously that won’t be the headline, but that will be the tone of the coverage, as it is spun in to something it is not. Actually to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the AP run that as the headline given their history of outright lying headlines.

I just watched a video of a Democrat from earlier today (I’m now watching the debate on CSPAN) complain (can’t recall his exact words or what state he was from) about the Republicans calling for a vote so quickly without adequate time needed to get all the facts and assess the options’ outcomes. WAIT A FARGIN MINUTE! Did he just insinuate that the Democrats who are tossing these accusations (which the terrorists are using as propaganda against us) did so without seeking all the facts? I wish I could remember who this Dem was!

We need to stand together whether we are in or out of the miltary and defend those still in uniform.

    is already coming true
Alan Colmes first question to the first guest J.D. Hayworth was basically “Is it appropriate for one congress person to suggest an opponent in congress is a coward?”
Thanks Alan for proving my point, and everyone’s point about how libs always spin EVERYTHING if they can’t get away with outright lying about it. My prediction was basically referring to articles and reports out tomorrow which I obviously still think we’ll see a wave of, but Colmes beat them all to the punch.

I agree totally. These civilians who never served and think they know all about war, need to quit spreading propaganda about things that they did not see first hand. They have no idea the stresses and sacrafices we endure, (and some of us enjoy with pride) from doing our job. They especially don’t see the good things we see that can and does result from the unfortunate decision of going to war.

I kind of wanted to be a Marine, until they were going to demote me 3 (from E5 to E-2) just to cross over, so I “crossed into the blue” instead (from the Navy). But I’m just as happy and I got to keep my rank.

Suitably Flip: Your said, “they [Democrats] were hoodwinked by an inept and dimwitted President into casting faulty and regrettable votes in favor of the Iraq war. And now,…” It amazes me how you leftists have, from the beginning, charged President Bush with lacking intelligence or the necessary skills to handle the job.

While I am critical of some of his policies and his failure to defend himself, because of him: (a) We have the lowest taxes since Reagan. (b) The economy is booming along and unemployment is lower than ever under Billy Jeff. The income to the Treasury because of his economic policies is skyrocketing. (b) We have successfully fought the war on terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan, and combined with the global war on terror, the efforts of an improved intelligence system and our Homeland Security we have had no further attacks on U.S. soil. (c) He has won the Texas State House and the White House twice each, and led the Republican Party to control all three branches of government. (d) He has an MBA degree.

I would hope my children would be accused of such inpetness and lack of intelligence!
