Expose the Left

I was watching Connected: Coast to Coast earlier and the topic was President Bush visiting (rather, not visiting) fallen soldiers’ funerals. It is next to impossible for President Bush to attend every funeral and to expect him to is out of the question. The President is not able to attend every funeral, but he is able to attend some. If he went to some and not all that would make it look like one soldier’s life is more worthy than another. Lets just imagine if he was able to go to every funeral. If you put a thought into this argument you would see how much security is needed for him to attend. It would take away the experience from the family and it just wouldn’t be right. Do you remember the Funeral Crasher? You know, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Catherine Baker Knoll. She went to a soldier’s funeral and preached her anti-War moon bat liberal babel to the attendees. She obviously offended them and eventually sent an apology. President Bush isn’t going to funerals to speak, but his presence would attract media attention and would require major security measures. The President often meets with the family of fallen soldiers after the funeral and the word is the meeting often gets emotional. We should respect the service of soldiers and let them be buried in peace.

The idiot democrats think he should go like the dem lt. gov that went to a funeral, passed out her cards and outraged a grieving family.

    Ian,

Some liberals are never happy. If he doesn’t go he “doesn’t care” – if he does go, it would be considered a “publicity stunt.” You just can’t win.

There is no political hay to be made going to soldiers’ funerals. In fact it would have the opposite effect. It would remind people the pain and suffering of war. No, just like you don’t show coffins, you don’t show funerals or memorials…until its over THEN Bush can lead a HUGE rememberance ceremony. He’d get points for that because people would be happy. But I won’t hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

I don’t think he should go, I think if he went lately he might get mauled.

I wonder how it is in Crawford for him with that Mom sitting in front his ranch? Hot maybe…?

He shouldn’t, unless it is already known as going to be a media madhouse – say, for a one-to-four-star general – or long-standing acquaintance.

But OTOH, how about a once-a-year speech at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier[s]?

He obviously can’t go to them all ,but I think he needs to show more compassion and actual interest than he has. Look I’m no big fan of the man, his family or his brand of crooked politics. He has hurt my party immeasurably during his tenure and I’m affraid that his obsessive policies will haunt us long after the dreaded |Hillary is elected. Wake up you guys! Take a look at what some of our Con spokesmen are sayiong! Are you not the least bit embarrassed by the rants of Michelle Malkin ? We have to show that we are Americans first, and we are failling to do that. My son is in the Navy and he is now worried about moral. The problem is from the Libs its our own party. McCain is our future ,try helping his chances and drop the venom. Its not productive.

If george bush had shown up at my brothers funeral…(died in iraq) we would have torn him to pieces… he has no place there.. it’s like getting the death row inmate to come to a memorial for his victim… poor taste

My sympathy to you and yours!

I think the President should stay away from a very private and personal matter. Talk about invasion of privacy!

Did they teach you your typing skills in the military? Please try to put periods, etc. in your sentences—It reads horrible!

Would you want him at your funeral if you were fighting an UNJUST war? Would your wife, or children?

So being a military man, makes you WHAT? A know it all? No, what the military does is make MANY MANY people arrogant, and unsocial! Been there, done that!

it is simple idioic that someone would even think of getting upset cause the president didnt attend the funeral. unfortunatley there are way to many fallen soldiers for him to do that. if he were to attend them all then when would he do any thing else? he is our president not our priest

    What does he do now?

Send troops to wars, and keep them there.

Does not send FEMA to help evacuees?

    Exactly WHAT HAS HE DONE?

I voted for him, BUT now I am sorry that I did!
