If you don’t know about the Air America scandal that no MSM news agency is following then you should check out Michelle Malkin (here, here, and here, here, and here) and Radio Equilazer, who is all over the story.

By the way: If you look at the Google News aggregator, all of the results for “Air America” are blogs.

UPDATE: Captain’s Quarters rounds up the situation.

i find it very hard to believe that you havent gone down to the local recruitment station and sign on.. you ass cake.

How you can support a war that is at best created my neocon fascist minds to kill off the best and brightest of young america is beyond the pale.

and for what?? to bring freedom to a people who have known nothing of what a democracy could ever be, they read the Koran it does not support a democratic society.

ITS ABOUT OIL SON! 14 new bases…
if we leave the al queda will control the oil ..if the saudi kingdom falls they will control a majority of the oil.

so might you have the balls to come out and support the troops but hate the war?

or are you a punk nazi wanting for blood to be spilled for your stupid cause?

Kirk, why the need to insult and swear? You ask reasonable questions (although I doubt you really want to hear the answers), so why not chill out and be respectful?
    1) Anything about the Middle East is fundamentally about oil—we would have no interest in that stretch of sand or the people who live there otherwise—but the Iraqi war was not intended to gain control of oil any more than the 1st Gulf War was. Last time I checked, we took Kuwait back for the Kuwaitis, put out all the fires, and let them continue to run their country and their oilfields. Ditto for Iraq—we don’t control that and nobody in America is getting rich off of said fields. (I might be wrong about that; my only evidence is that we pay $2.50/gallon for gas while Iraqis pay under a dollar…)
    2. Why do Liberals always think that American blood is the only valuable blood in the world? I thought you folks were all about equality? How can you pretend that if Americans aren’t involved somewhere, that must be some kind of Eden? Last I checked, over a million South Vietnamese died in camps after we pulled our troops out “to bring peace to Vietnam”. And even the least reasonable people would accept that Saddam’s regime killed over 300,000 Iraqis and Kurds (not to mention almost a million Iranians) during the time that the USA was not at war with Iraq. The 5000 or less Iraq dead during Iraqi Freedom was a small price most Iraqis were willing to pay to get rid of him. And the hundreds of Iraqis slaughtered each month by reactionary paramilitary death squads (who the Main Stream Media insists on calling “insurgents”) who want to bring back the happy days of wanton Baath Party-run slaughter, are also a price they’re willing to pay for the rights of self-determination you seem to want to say they’re unworthy of.

If you really are a Liberal, I suggest you go back and read the writings of the true Liberals like John Adams who fought to give you all the advantages of cable TV and $4 latte’s and the freedom to call the President an idiot without ending up in prison…

    Dear Kevin,

Any normal person who looks at this jingoistic sham would react like Kirk. If you had grown up with the Vietnam war threatening to scoop you up and get your ass shot at, maybe you and the idiot that runs this site wouldn’t be quite so righteous. I was lucky not to get sent to ‘Nam, I know people who died there and people who came back totally changed for the worse. Unless you’ve come close to getting your ass shot off, don’t sit there like our Smirking Chimp and be righteous about killing people.

Also, watch Fahrenheit 9/11 if you want to get an idea of why people doubt the idiot in office, Platoon or Apocalypse Now to get an idea of what another idiot war is like. Why is it that Chimpy said that getting Bin Laden was priority #1 after 9/11, then in March of the following year said in a press conference that Chimpy wasn’t really concerned about Bin Laden. Or that Bin Laden is still running loose while Iraq becomes a breeding ground for terrorists. Or connecting the War in Iraq with 9/11 when Saddam wanted Bin Laden and any Muslim extremists dead. Those were some of the people he liked to kill while sparing the lives of Iraqi Christians.

“Brownie”, you and the jingoistic idiot that runs this need to grow up. “You’re doing a heck of a job, Brownie” to quote the idiot who was playing air guitar for a photo op while people were dying in the Gulf coast. Or sat for 7 minutes while planes were destroying the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Real decisive leadership.

All I have to say is that I feel sorry for Kevin for believing everything that comes out of Michael Moore’s mouth.

polarized liberals and conservatives, such as those that bicker back and forth here, thanks for making america looked like an extremely f**ked up pseudo democracy. You people exist merely to agitate the other side. You know what would be a true act of democracy? No, not getting bush out of office, and no, not putting in for another term either. How about comprimising on something? Finding common ground from which to work. Freedom and democracy allows us to express whatever we want, but we feel it is an excuse to push ideological agendas that represent only minority beliefs. India is closing in on 1 billion people, 4 times our population. India includes many different languages, religions, and traditions. And yet, their democracy has been able to succeed ever since it was created. Don’t let the great nation of the United States become just a memory people. We are in a war, no matter how much you like it or hate it, we are in a war. Saying it’s wrong won’t win it, neither will exulting in the righteousness of the war. Let’s shake hands, agree to disagree, and try to work together, or else this country won’t last all the way till the 22nd century.
