This case is so frustrating! I wish these boys would tell the TRUTH. Isn’t Joran up to like 22 different stories or versions of what happened that night?! Why would you have to lie so much if you werent involved? It doesnt make any sense!

I just found your website, you don’t get a lot of news up here in Canada. The pictures were great. I think the weak link here are the brothers. Jorge has been told by his wan-a-be judge dad to clam up. His fathers career is washed up there anyway. Well she’s not in the pond and if shes not in the dump they will stop looking and wash their hands of the whole thing. This way they can say they tried. There is still the old well on their property but I don’t think they would be that stupid. It seems to me they stopped looking at the pond awful fast, did they dredge it?
Well thanks for keeping us all informed and heres hoping they find her or this little creep is going to walk.

the case is on CNN almost every night, Nancy Grace, even Larry King live… msnbc, fox, and even nbc….

Stella, I think Beth herself has asked people not to Boycott Aruba, she stated that the Arubans have done all they can to help and she appreciates it…. she actually asked people in Alabama NOT to take any such actions when that idea was being batted around even by politicians lately…..
We have many Arubans contributing to this site from time to time, and we value their input, as they have a unique vantage point, and the people contributing here have been very helpful in providing their insight, and I know many of the regular bloggers here appreciate it. I hardly think it would be fair for anyone to say to ban their country just because a crime has happened on their soil.

Good marning everyone Hopeful & Max, the other thread went wide – lets try this – Geraldo was flipping last nite because Tim Miller tried to search VDS property – I think that is the attorney in Papa V coming out – he just has that instilled in him and if he is innocent and even if Joran is – he would not be in too good a frame of mind – to just say come on in – I personally do not think that immplies guilt just good sense. No different than the judge made the dna samples disallowed because they were not done properly – just the way of the law!

I agree Jan, I mean, its hardly fair to blame this guy for at least trying to protect his property through legal measures. I mean, there have been SO many people from Natalee’s side that have said they KNOW he’s involved… and that his son is guilty. Now, innocent until proven guilty is the way its supposed to be under the “law”. So I’m sure he’s thinking “well, I’m not going to get a fair shake, and if these people are SO convinced already, maybe the Texas people won’t be impartial when they “search”.”
I mean, I personally have my own opinions on the case, but I don’t think I’d openly state the guy is guilty before SOME prove was uncovered… and maybe that’s what he’s afraid of…. let people like Equusearch in, who’ve obviously sided with the family, and he may get treated unfairly during the search…. I mean, his house has been searched by Aruban police more than once already… maybe he just would rather the police search….

Well with the wide screen It isnt quite as bad. I think they should obtain warrants to search his property. I know he has his side of the story but she is definately missing and his house and property could be where shes either been kept at one time or still is. I E the well.
Jan I hope you are wrong about the witness just sidetracking the search team. They will run out of resources before they finish that land fill. max

To obtain a warrant to search the place you need “probable cause” or a “reasonable assumption” that a crime has taken place and that there is a link between the house and the crime. Otherwise, forget it. As I understand it, under American law no one could have been arrested.

I’m having a hard time catching up, Max, hopeful, Jan. Good points made above. Think back to when Chris last posted, some of the things he said then make some sense now, esp. thinking about the misleading rumors. However, it was apparently TJ Ward pushing to drain the pond as well, wasn’t it?

Well they searched it before and didn’t do it all apparently. With Joran still being held and as the main suspect. Her still being. His original setting up a foney alibi that misdirected the investigation, causing two other people to be arrested. I think the posibility of her being somewhere on the grounds would warrant going over the place with that methane dector. Anywhere he was known to have been should be probable cause. max

I think TJ Ward should be trying to investigate the possibility of her being alive. He needs to dig into all those first days and the old possible sightings and such. But the Parents are so sure about Joran that is his focus.
It’d sure be sad if shes still alive and nobody tried to find her, well who can say.

I heard the equisearch people saying they had completed going over the pond with the methane dector. Guess that was all they were looking for was her body. It would have showed a hit with that. If she were in the pond. max

Tern, thanks for posting. It sounds as though you are from Aruba? What is your idea of these “eyewitnesses” coming forward at such a late date? Do you know, or have you heard what the general sentiment is about this in Aruba? From this end it looks like a waste of good time, in my opinion anyway.
As far as the law goes, I thought PvdS was still a person of interest, not?

Max, a comment I heard with TJ Ward in an interview was his feeling that PvdS was a key figure as well as the boys. So I felt as though he might be after incriminating evidence, and finding NH came after the fact. Just my personal feeling from the way he talked.
Mary(Canada) I’m in western Canada, and find the only places with NH info are the ones Hopeful mentioned.

Yes Im sure he is after evidence to incriminate the suspects and all involved. Think that is his job not finding her. But I personally think he is being called too late. But if he tried to pursue the other side of the coin he might find some hope. If she is dead though well, no one to save. I bet hes making lots of money to go around there and he cant even speak the languages they speak to be adequate at his job. He needs Chris to work for him for 50.00 an hour or so. think?

Stella, I think the government has been exceptionally accomodating in the past to help solve the crime. I haven’t seen any other missing person getting a search with F 16’s that have come such a long distance, quite a costly endeavor; with outstanding scanner devices. It would be rediculous to hold the people of Aruba “hostage” by taking away their livelihood of tourism when they helped out in a big way on the initial searches. Many lost wages to help in the search. Beth did mention she didn’t want any boycotting, as hopeful mentioned earlier.
