Does anyone else think, “Don’t we already have this channel, several of these?”. Well we do, it’s called FOX, MSNBC, and CNN. Except they broadcast news that people actually care about. I mean who really cares about what people think about the numbers hacked from Paris Hilton’s phone book? That news has already been broadcasted several hundred times. When will someone come up with a news channel that doesn’t talk about celebrity tragedy and only have a “news alert” once. That will be a channel worth watching.

Now about the channel Gore and his poor, poor investors have bought out. Not only have I never heard of the “Newsworld International” channel, but it’s only four clicks away from FOX News and six click away from MSNBC. And all this time I have had this channel, I never knew it existed. Anyways I changed the channel to it a few moments ago and

Manchester, NH – Former vice presidential candidate John Edwards is telling supporters in New Hampshire he has “serious questions” about US Supreme Court nominee John Roberts.

Edwards condemned the White House for withholding some documents that Senate Democrats wanted to get a fix on the personal views of Judge Roberts. Edwards says the papers are needed to review whether Roberts lobbied inside the government for socially conservative causes while working in the Reagan administration.

I’m sorry, didn’t you lose your campaign for the office of Vice President? What political power do you hold to “demand papers” and “ask serious questions”? Aren’t you one of us common folk now? Sit down and shut up.

UPDATE: I updated my post – a lengthy one – and it didn’t seem to go through. Anyways I wanted to say I made a mistake saying Edwards lost his re-election for Senate because he didn’t even run. However if he ran or not doesn’t matter, my point is still valid because he lost an election.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Following the Congress in a midsummer exodus, President Bush plans a Texas ranch respite for several weeks, while Supreme Court nominee John Roberts has August to think about Senate confirmation hearings.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Friday that Bush will leave after signing into law the Central American Free Trade Agreement that Congress gave final approval to earlier this week.

It will be the president’s 50th trip to the ranch since he was elected nearly five years ago.

What this article “forgets” to tell you is that most of those trips last two or three. A handful of these trips involve a foreign leader visiting or President Bush doing work. Sorry folks he isn’t using his lasso or herding sheep the whole time. The inside of the ranch isn’t a home, it consists of more than bedrooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen. He has a “war room” with people at computers almost at all times. He has a large meeting room, often used with his cabinet. It isn’t just fun and games down there, it’s actual work – just not at the White House.

Tsk tsk .. While making a preview “The Situation”, Tucker Carlson uses some foul language when they didn’t make the 20 second timelimit.

Perhaps this is why he is being “promoted” (according to Carlson and MSNBC) to the 11pm time slot.

NEW YORKMSNBC will shift Tucker Carlson’s low-rated talk show out of prime-time in much of the country to 11 p.m. EDT, with ex-Fox News Channel anchor Rita Cosby filling his time slot.

Since its debut June 13, the bow-tied conservative’s show has averaged 201,000 viewers, 25 percent fewer than its time-slot predecessor, “The Abrams Report,” had in May, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Boy do I wish there was a video of this ..

SOURCE- A man burst out from those gathered in the courtroom Thursday and tried to hit Saddam as the ousted leader was leaving the courtroom after a 45-minute hearing, Saddam’s legal team said in a statement.

“There was an exchange of blows between the man and the president,? the statement said, also claiming the judge overseeing the hearing did nothing to stop the assault.
