Expose the Left
January 31, 2005

NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton collapsed while giving a speech in Buffalo, New York, on Monday morning, but recovered enough to resume her day’s public appearances, her office said.
The Democratic senator from New York, seen as a potential presidential hopeful, fell ill during a speech at a restaurant on the topic of Social Security. She had complained she had a stomach problem.

Oliver Willis complains
How insightful (and biased) of Oliver to choose one blog out of the thousands of right wing bloggers. Just because one right winger thinks one way, doesn’t mean all of us do. It is very hypocritical of Oliver to point out one distasteful act and some how forget about the left wingers who made jokes about Reagan’s death or [especially] Dick Cheney’s heart problems. Where were you then, Oliver?

I don’t condone any acts making fun of someones health, no matter what their political party is.

I should really change my blogs name to “Oliver Pundit”.

They’re such hypocrites—all you have to do is burn your eyes at the DU for a few seconds to see the hatred and psychosis there. Bunch of subhuman sociopaths. (Have you seen the shit they’ve posted about the Iraq elections? Shocking.) OW and his idiots either don’t read the DUh (unlikely), or they have nothing to say in opposition to that filth.

I’ve been to DU once and have not been there since. For crying out loud at the top of the page it has a link for ‘Top 10 conservative idiots’.

    Hello Ian,

There is something wrong with the submission form.
I am getting the message “your comment was denied for questionable content”, yet the message I’m trying to post isn’t really questionable at all.
    Do you know what’s up?

Beth, have you ever seen the Rachel Corrie death celebration thread at LGF? The one where people talked about how they, personally would like to have killed her? As in, hundreds of people?

Consider, also, that each comment is personally approved by Charles Johnson, and that all your favorite right-wing blogs link to him (as opposed to DU, which nobody cares about except Republicans… Karl Rove couldn’t have done better himself. Hmmmm….)

Oh, and your obsession with Oliver is starting to seem a little, uh, unnatural.

Also, isn’t that one of the top five right-wing sites? It’s hard to call that unfair. It’s like the NYT ran a front-page picture of Dubya with devil horns and I responded by pointing out that a chewing-gum trade magazine didn’t speak ill of him.

This must be an incredibly easy blog to maintain. All you have to do is link to the latest Oliver Willis post and call him names while saying the opposite of what he says. Hell, I could write a Perl script to do that.

Ryland .. “I should really change my blogs name to “Oliver Pundit”.”

Sundown I am sorry that is being changed I promise tonight .. please email me your comment and I will post it – ian@ianschwartz.com

Hey! How about a little fence straddling?

    (1) What was posted in the comments was fairly disgusting.
    (2) BUT anyone could post anything in comments.
    (3) In re: lowering the tone of the debate, Ryland, when you can point to major Republicans saying stuff like that, I’ll tip my hat. However, as long as Michael Moore compares the president to Hitler and is subsequently feted in the highest political circles with the cherry-on-top experience of sitting in the presidential box at the national convention, I’d humbly suggest your point falls short of the mark.

Ryland—I just realized my response to “your” comment is actually in response to the Ryland comment back on the original Willis page. I apologize if you’re not the same dude, though my sentiments are unchanged.

Will be interesting to see how you Repukes spin a threat on the President by a Senator as ok.

“Spewed”? “Repukes”? Are you a DUer? My word.

I’ll grant you that Helms was way out of line. It was, of course, in reference to a joke but Senators need to be careful what they say. Of course, conservatives know that (you’ll have to scroll down to “Kerry shoots off his mouth.”

So I’m not excusing what he said but to believe he’s poisoning the debate with 10-year-old comments that are eschewed by the right and did not culminate in presidential-box honors is mighty thin gruel.

Uhhh, I think I tipped my hat, didn’t I? Isn’t that what “I’ll grant you that Helms was way out of line” and “So I’m not excusing what he said” amount to?

Did you know that putting your hands over your ears and shouting “lalalalalala” doesn’t add a lot of weight to your argument (even if you are particularly clever and point out that “conservative” starts with “CON” (you know, they’re all CONNING us man! It’s right there in their title! It’s like, they’re trying to hide behind the obvious, you know! But I got ‘em. I f’in got ‘em!))

Truth your name is kind of ironic. I can’t believe you are saying the Republicans are out of line. What the senator said is no where near to the opinions
of the people on Hillary’s collapse. If you want to get down and dirty about what politicians say about other politicians.. you need to watch
    Herman Munster more often.
