Such began the homeland security life of the device that has made Brown famous in military circles — a control unit transportable by Humvee vehicle that merges military and civilian radar systems conveniently onto one screen, helping determine quickly whether an approaching aircraft is a friend or foe.
I thought this story was pretty cool, because of all the technology involved. Brown International, a company that initially repaired televisions, now makes security programs to protect our country and President Bush. They have developed a system (somehow) to tell if a plane entering US terrority is friend or foe. They also have men on the ground, protecting the President at the RNC and his Crawford, Texas ranch. This isdefiantly worth the read.
